As an IT admin it's astonishing how bad people are with their emails. Keeping stuff they want to keep in the deleted bin, not understanding phishing emails, not understanding rules they themselves have set up. Not archiving. Then it gets more gross when people who are heavy attachments senders with other employees- constantly sending attachments back and forth to each other when they may have sent the file 3 times (they can't find, or won't find, the email) Or maybe the attachment was a different revision 4 months ago, but they're looking in their sent folder to forward what they send 5 revisions ago instead of sending the current version from their computer (same name except it's called Bid.xlsx (4)) You teach them stuff like sharing over Onedrive or Dropbox, it's like voodoo to them

Usually they'll just blame that their email is haunted, but if you sit down long enough with them and follow their trail of nonsense, you can make them feel like idiots.

Those dopey Office classes they teach to people in associates college programs don't touch Outlook, they're teaching people how to insert pictures into Word documents and turn cells different colors in Excel. They aren't any good at those things, either

As far as the OP states with his subject, all my ex's had like 7,000 unread unorganized emails. Being able to organize your primary email address is a key

People that come out of college undergrad that are 30-50 range and are given a machine don't know how to use Outlook or organize their email

VPN sectory is kind of like a crutch these days for people that find something inconvenient when naturally integrated to the Internet. Back when, VPNs were slow and a headache for enterprise network employees. Since most hospitality networks are slow as tar anyways, it made them even more annoying to deal with

People use a VPN saying they are from India buying NBA league pass for $50 (or something, it may not be a thing anymore, but hey) with no blackouts. People use VPNs these days to queue in PUBG matches in the EU instead of NA, because the player base is stronger there and has less bots (VPNs are fast enough to deliver a passable connection to do this) People use VPNs to play online slots with real money and have either a mailbox or a relative in another state where its legal to accept winnings. People use VPNs to watch some goofy Youtube video not in their region.

It's true that you're allowed to laugh at the guy that says "I can run my own VPN!!" since that means his host IP is the target in which your traffic is getting filtered into, which obscures the concept in which they are marketing at. Are people or companies really interested in protecting, or gathering data?

There's a lot of nice positives to a virtual network between say your phone, laptop, and computer. I hella run my own VPN between my devices regardless of how they connect to the Internet, when they all see themselves on the same LAN you can do some cool stuff.

The technology got murky when VPNs started to become synonymous with being anonymous. You're hiding your activity from your ISP, but you trust that this $5 a month service isn't doing the same thing?

When's the last time your ISP came down on you outside of a "sir please" cease and desist letter? When's the last time your VPN subscription service was compromised and suddenly some crypto network you are involved in have access to your funds? One happens more than the other and I'll let you guess which.

Yeah that was a common thing to do (with not just the NES, I did it with my Jaguar which stupidly has an exposed cartridge slot)

Nintendo actually would ship you a new edge connector for free when you asked until maybe 10 or 15 years ago? I thought that was pretty swell

Depends on your definition of 'badly mishandled'. That can be something as simple as have the 72 pins exposed without the sleeve protector and/or the box to a myriad of environments that can erode the pins, on top of wear and tear on the pins. I wouldn't say 'badly mishandled' since I'd suspect most people that have their NES collection out and exposed don't have the sleeves or the boxes.

Nobody is scratching their ass on the pinouts of the cartridge

If they've been removed and inserted thousands of times, which is feasible over 35 years, you bet.

I have a Tetris cartridge that will barely boot (I have a new edge connector) and it when does it will crash if you so much as breathe at the console

I have a Ninja Gaiden cartridge that was CIB and visually looked like it had hardly been played that boots and runs like a champ

The main point of failure is the edge-connector, and those can be replaced for about $12.
