I find it odd how often people have no trouble believing large corporations are cruel and abusive to their workers who have some legal protections for some reason struggle to believe they don't abuse the farm animals they own when those animals have literally no rights.

Part of the reason why I prefer larger devices is because they simply have the real estate for larger batteries, displays, and cameras. If I'm going to be spending flagship money, then I want the flagship experience.

The iPhone 13 Mini pretty much checks all of those boxes other than the display size.

I would have been more surprised and disappointed if he hadn't.

In some places down there yeah. And a large part of that is Coke pillaging all of their water, converting it to their sugar water, and selling it back to them.

My Samsung plasma is a 3D TV, but I almost never use that functionality. The thing about 3D TVs was they were also the best 2D TVs at the time.

It's kind of a shame they got rid of that functionality because 4K solved one of its biggest issues. If you were using a 3D TV with passive glasses you were limited to 720p resolution in 3D. If your 3D TV had active 3D glasses it could do 3D in 1080p , but your glasses required power and the shutter of the glasses made some people sick. A 4K TV could do 1080p in 3D with passive glasses thanks to its screen resolution.

The real gimmick was curved TVs. At least 3D doesn't ruin your viewing experience since you didn't need to use it. A curved TV is going to have that stupid curve forever.

They're generally not the worst team in the league, just the worst run team. The owner is a huge piece of shit, even among the other billionaire owners in the league.

I just find it funny that a piracy tool like Ublock Origin is free and readily available straight from Google's own extension store, and it blocks Youtube ads by default. It's about the equivalent of Nintendo putting the download links and instructions for how to install CFW on the Switch on their website.

I dunno, just seems that nvme is just a bit soon given the cost of the tech at the moment.

Games were already surpassing 100gb in size on previous gen consoles. Once cross gen support ends you'll pretty much have to upgrade the storage if you want more than two games installed

Game file sizes have actually gone down a bit this generation. The new systems are using superior file compression than the old, and thanks to the SSDs they no longer need redundant data to save load times on the HDD.

We're going to be stuck with these specs for years to come. I prefer them going with the faster storage now that will be cheaper down the road than being limited by slower SSDs for another 5 years.

What a lot of people don't realize is those asymptomatic patients in hospitals are nearly just as big of a burden as the people dying from it. The hospital still has to isolate them and use extra PPE when working with them.

If you're considering PC I'd wait and see how the port even runs as well. PC ports nowadays are crapshoots.

Which is ironic because game consoles are more PC-like than ever.

The Xbox did as well. Though it did require you to buy a media remote in order to use it.

There would be no point in Nintendo stopping this port from happening. The game has already been reverse-engineered and made open source, so the process of porting it is relatively simple. If they stop these people from doing it someone else will.

While I loved the OG Xbox and thought it was criminally underrated, it's kind of funny to dismiss the PS2 by saying the only thing it has going for it is the single most important thing a game console needs.

Which is why variable frame rate displays are nice. You get the best of both worlds.

Other than balding, which is easily fixed with a buzz cut, I'd say I'm fairly attractive. My girlfriend certainly thinks I am. Losing 50lbs helped a lot.

OLED are the best tvs and the best OLEDs are done by LG.

If Samsung's QD-OLED TVs are as good as advertised they will end up better than LG's WOLED.

they're not gonna make it xbox exclusive. they'd be giving up way too much money. ps5 already has a way bigger fanbase. if they make it exclusive that would be their big selling point for next gen. but with how many games are going to PC now and 99% of xbox games on PC then i'm still not really seeing much of a point in owning a xbox over just using your pc.

A company as rich as Microsoft would have no problem hurting themselves if it meant hurting their competitor even more. Besides, it's early in the generation. Most people who are going to buy a PS5 haven't had a chance to buy it yet. There's still plenty of time to persuade PS5 buyers to buy an Xbox instead.

Not that I think they will keep it exclusive. This is more to force Sony's hand on Game Pass. Making Call of Duty exclusive would just be the nuclear option.

The cards would have been better as hidden items in the castle instead of random drops.

If anything, I see phone carriers replacing a lot of home internet providers with their service since things like 5G are getting faster quicker. Though none of that will happen for as long as their data caps are so limited.

I wonder how things would have gone if Microsoft hadn't completely botched the Xbox One at the beginning along with coasting at the end of the Xbox 360's life.

Another problem with youth sports is it's gotten expensive. Lots of parents these days send their kids to sports camps and invest in high quality equipment for them. It's hard for kids who can't afford that to compete.

I think football is going to die out once they figure out how to diagnose CTE in living people.

The major sports leagues are really shooting themselves in the foot locking so many of their games behind a cable TV paywall. Meanwhile most esports are free to stream legally. Who wants to be a fan of a team that you can only see a few games of a season?

Jackfruit or soy curls. Both make great meat alternatives, and they are whole foods. They're also really cheap and don't hog up fridge space.

It would have been nice if a more universal app became the world standard which Google could have done, but they kind of fucked it up by constantly changing their chat program, changing its name, offering other programs with similar features, and not making it the default texting app.

I don't plan to get it since I don't like to eat foods that have been cooked in the same equipment meat is cooked in, but I'm glad they exist. What happens to factory farm chickens is fucked up.

For a show that was already cancelled, 6 seasons is a pretty good run.

Vegan cheese has gotten a lot better in the past couple of years. Still not perfect from what I remember of traditional cheese, but much closer. And several companies are working on making cow-free dairy through precision fermentation. There are even a few products on the market now that use it already like Brave Robot ice cream.

For all of the show's flaws, I think GT's SSJ4 was a much better form than any of these new ones. It felt like the natural conclusion of the Saiyan form since it combines their human-like and ape-like elements. Toriyama seems to have completely forgotten about the Great Ape form.

I guess some of us might see it as desecrating a corpse, or that eating an animal for any non-emergency reason normalizes the concept. But for the most part it's very low on the priority list.

Has it affected your social life? For the most part my friends, family, and coworkers have been good about it. I'm about 2 years in.

Either route will work. I called a urologist, but they recommended me to a general practitioner's office to get it done. If you want it soon you should try booking soon. A lot of guys book them for late February and early March.

This is going to be great for someone like me. If Apple does this then pretty much every provider is going to switch to eSIMs quickly. I change phone plans once every one or two years to take advantage of new customer deals.

Often when I'm about to make an expensive purchase I will sign up for a new credit card just for the signup bonus reward. I got an extra $200 back on my recent laptop purchase this way.
