I've played both. There are way more platforming sections than needed in Eternal. Combat areas? Yeah, sure, go crazy. But there's too much of the platforming nonsense outside of the arenas. | Spiritlittle 02/09/22 9:13:58 PM #1 | So, I tried to play Dark Souls 1 a long time ago as an 18 year old. I got super frustrated and never made it past the first area. Long time passes. Bloodborne gets released for PlayStation 4. It looks cool, it gets glowing reviews but it just ain't for me. More time passes. Elden Ring gets announced and I'm like "ah man, I wish this wasn't a Souls game." I download Bloodborne when it's free on PS Plus. I don't even make it to the Cleric Beast before I give up in frustration. I started looking more into Elden Ring as we get closer to release, and then I remember Bloodborne... I started playing this evening, and I am on top of the world that I managed to defeat the Cleric Beast in under 5 tries. I get it now. I'm so stoked that I finally understand why these games are what they are. I doubt I'll finish Bloodborne before Elden Ring releases, but my God that victory was so satisfying. --- Official Fujin of the Mortal Kombat 11 board. That was their offer, which I thought was quite low for the cost of living at around $60K, so I declined. But the hiring manager and the guy that would have been my boss called me after I declined and told me to keep in contact and they would probably hire for this same position again later in the year if I change my mind. That area looks expensive af. Like, second most expensive in the country.
