I like combat sports. But more often than not, they dont give the results I want. Wrestling, being predetermined, is able to combine story telling and something that looks similar to combat sports.

That being said, I havent watched WWE regularly since 2005. Im watching AEW and NJPW recently.

Even if they dont, you do it one time, no one in the next 5 years will pay a dime on their student loans and will get us into another immediate crisis needing payment.

A much better solution is the break the collective backs of colleges and universities by allowing bankruptcy to discharge debt, stop offering federally subsidized loans.

it will be a painful 5 years but eventually universities will have shed enough support staff, athletics, non-learning bullshit to have an actually affordable post-secondary education.

it will just look a lot more like community colleges and be less of the college experience.

? railroads are good I dont know if Id say they are cheese. $200 a piece, if you own 1 takes 8 visits to pay off, own 2 8 visits, own 3 6 visitors, own 4 4 visits. The end state 4/4 is end game valuable still but you need to own at least 3 to feel worth it.

In 1950, 72% of the world lived in extreme poverty. In 1981 44.3% of the world was in extreme poverty. In 2015 9.6% of the world lived in extreme poverty. That last one is particularly noteworthy since a huge portion of that was from China embracing some capitalism in its communistic system.

Communism is a failure and capitalism has been a run away success the last 100 years. Has there ever been a communist regime that didnt starve its people?

Capitalism does get inefficient when cronyism gets embedded into the system and artificial barriers of entry to gate keep get legislated. There needs to be significant efforts to keep the playing field fair, and right now its not, but still way better than any version of communism that has ever existed.

Compared to most youtube critics she seems to actually have original thoughts. But there has always been something about her I just cant stand.

Only time it wouldnt be worth it is if you have a top tier plasma. OLED is still better than plasma, but at the high end the difference is marginal compared to upgrading from an LED.

This story goes back 20-25 years. I was at the grocery outlet getting snacks before heading over to a friends.

There was a kid, maybe 5 or 6 that was touching everything, knocking stuff over, hanging on shelves, and his mom was getting pissed. He eventually was at this chip display that was like these large circular metal shelves that would stack like 4 high, each shelf had like 100 bags of snack sized packages chips. The kid was trying to spin one of the shelves, which kind of worked but also caused the structure to be like tilting and looking like it would fall.

Then out of nowhere some 70 year old guy walks up and pushes over the display. Says to the kid shell never believe you and walks off.

Chips are everywhere. Mom screams at kid, kid claims the old man did it, I walk away not wanting to get caught up in any of this.

Some things are hard to steal.
