I dont know the numbers but thats what I would guess. Takes a lot of time, money and resources to train people.

There's probably an element of pride for not letting the workers dictate the terms, but it's not like most "training" is actually some complicated thing, despite what most employers would like you to believe. Most jobs can be reasonably learned with a manual & some practice; the rest is simply experience over time.

I do think there are some cases where piracy can be justified, such as when a rights holder no longer exists (or at least is unclear who may hold the rights), but most pirates are just full of BS with all the mental gymnastics they do to make some moral high ground out of it. Just admit you want stuff, but don't want to spend money on it, & move on.

I wasn't being cryptic in what I said. I do not support the ideology or philosophy of "sins of the father" in any way shape or form for descendants generations down.

I do not care about sins of something over 100 years ago that makes innocent individuals 100 years later pay for restitution through their tax dollars to the descendants.

No I do not believe justice should always be paid no matter how much time has passed that future descendants must bare. While what has happened to my ancestors was an terrible, no I don't support restitution from people who did nothing to me or my family. While pretending it's not punishing them for things they never did, while they (friends and acquaintances of other races) are also going through many of the same struggles I am, a black person.

Those things were not some "super long time ago, in the mystical before times" events. I know a lot of people feel like the Civil Rights movement was a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure most of us have parents old enough to remember things like integration & the marches in Alabama as the government sicced dogs & loosened fire hoses on the protests there. I'm sure a few here still have grandparents who can give you a first hand recount of the times. We have Bernie Sanders, a politician who was literally right there for MLK, & he's still alive. The Civil Rights movement is still within living memory. The US has compensated for almost every group it wronged, so why is it always so complicated for Blacks?

Let's be real here, the US government most certainly owes its Black population SOMETHING. What & how much that should be is debatable, but something should happen. Almost every notable group in US history from Native Americans, Japanese internment victims, & even Chinese railworkers has seen some compensation and/or acknowledgement, except Blacks. I mean, it will obviously never happen for a lot of reasons, but it should.

Also, let's drop the disingenuous BS of pretending this is just about slavery. It extends to Segregation, Jim Crow, Red Lining, the complicity of the KKK, enabling acts such as Tulsa, denial of generational wealth. The US government owes more than it can ever pay, & a lot of White people need to quit trying to make this all about them, personally.

If Lugia was Water/Flying, they would certainly have more resistances and less weaknesses even with the Electric weakness stacking.

Bug, Steel, Dark, & Ghost don't get many decent moves outside "that one" (Megahorn, Iron Tail, Crunch, & Shadow Ball) until gen3, so those are mostly irrelevant for its debut. The Ice cover would be nice, but 4x Thunderbolt, Thunder, & Thunder Punch is a much bigger threat. Also resisting Psychic means not being in immediate danger to Mewtwo or Alakazam. Also, Water/Flying has been done enough, that I like Lugia has something a bit more unique; just off the top of my head, gen2 already has Mantine & Gyarados.

Sure, it would logically make more sense for Lugia's lore & relation to Ho-oh, but Psychic is generally one of the best types in the game, especially before there were more Dark types & Bug types had better moves than a move that was Heracross exclusive.

I honestly don't see why people feel the need to keep renaming things because the connotations of the current words. For the most part, you just create a matter of semantics, & people will fall into the same colloquialisms as soon as they catch up to the "new" term for that thing. The word is rarely the problem, & changing it does nothing to alter the perceptions of what those words represent.

It's highly unlikely he's the best they COULD find, but the reality is that they didn't really look. Most of Hollywood is built on image & connections, meaning there's almost definitely someone who could have been better, but doesn't have the clout, connections, or visibility to be considered.

I've seen the game in action, & honestly, I have no idea how anyone thought this would be a Smash killer. It's of infinitely lower quality, & looks really bare compared to practically any version of Smash. Unless the updates add stuff like character voices & alt palettes, the only thing it truly has going for it is online. The only people who are really into this are Smash pros, specifically Melee players, who are petty that Nintendo won't OK their use of mods or emulators, & can't accept that Nintendo won't just make Melee+ for eternity.

I'm sorry, but I think it's time we all stopped lying to ourselves on this one. Western animation, or AMERICAN animation as what is usually contextually emphasized, has NOTHING on Japanese animation. You just ain't going to find the level of variation to go from Lucky Star, Fullmetal Alchemist, Gundam, Death Note, Monster, & Cowboy Bebop within American animation, unless you include things like the DCAU & premium stuff like Netflix/Amazon originals. The rest of American animation is either kids stuff or another Simpsons clone, when it comes to adult animation.

The way America's political system works, partisan-ism or "team politics", is the best way to get what you want. By agreeing with the group, you get support & assistance when you need it.

This isbasically how much of America's political system has been functioning for years, with both politicians & voters simply voting for "the team"; why else do you think Roy Moore still stood a decent chance in the face of outstanding scandal? Things simply got more overt with Obama & Trump's presidencies.

When you get right down to it, I don't know why anyone finds it weird. Fictional characters can be specifically designed for desired effects, & unlike real people, aren't bound by the limits of biology, physics, or practicality.

We have thousands of atrocities a year where we should've beaten CEOS to death in the streets. Limited does not mean zero. The system does not provide any semblance of justice so its worthless.

A major problem with that, is that the rich will use their power to fight any attempt to hold them accountable, & that's assuming they ever DO have to fight in the first place. Many politicians have business connections, & benefit on some level from the fact their friends/associates can act without consequences. Some of our politicians are the very rich that you're trying to prosecute, & they obviously won't vote against their own interests.

Really, you shouldn't be surprised. The basic logic is that some people choose to ignore realities that may inconvenience their lives, especially if it involves profit. Various health & safety regulations exist because it's been proven time & time again, that most companies will ignore the blatantly unsafe things, if addressing them is inconvenient. As seen with COVID, the most effective solutions to a viral outbreak is probably going to be limiting where, when, & how people can go about, which will massively hit most of the economy such as physical shops & restaurants. In the end, politicians & business owners have no desire to tank profits because some people might die; they won't care until enough people are dying/getting sick, that it too affects the economy.
