So when the economy took a shit, school shootings ramped up, and media really started to learn that divisive stories brought them more money....nah.

Things started going down hill after 9/11 and I feel like somewhere around 2010ish is when it started getting worse exponentially.

Leave your retirement account in safe index funds and just set it up for recurring consistent payments. Set it and forget it.

Then have a separate account if you want to gamble on riskier stuff. But for your own sanity and stability, I still like having my "play" account about 50/50 split between index funds and individual investments. Just helps to add some stability.

It'd be hypocritical not to since Ukraine got rid of its nuclear weapons on the condition that we'd always defend their sovereignty. If we fail to its just another obvious red flag to weaker nations that they need nuclear programs.

No one actually expects NATO to follow through on their promises. They sit back and do nothing, hoping the US will take action and all the blame when the fallout comes.

I just bought a gaming laptop about a month ago, still getting used to M&K. I've found that exploring different genres is pretty vital. I'd say single player RPG's or things where you can turn down the difficulty and just get used to moving and finding keys will help. I've also been playing a lot of valorant and seen my aim get a lot better pretty quickly. I still struggle with finding the keys on games that have a ton of bindings....escape from tarkov is like torture.

For me so far, I've been playing new world, valorant, dota 2, and a random assorment of free to play games just to try new stuff.

I live out in the middle of nowhere. The other day I heard some loud noises and was initially concerned because I didn't know what it was. Once I went outside and realized it was just someone shooting, I felt more comfortable. Nothing wrong with someone just doing a little target shooting or sighting in their gun.

I really enjoy it. PVP can be frustrating because of lag and shitty servers, but PVE and exploration are still great. Considering how often it goes on sale, its undeniably worth it if you're even remotely a fan of the elder scrolls. Even if you're not a huge fan of TES, I still think its worth trying out for anyone looking for a new MMO to play.

I live in a more rural area where the only thing in that price range is a plot of 100 acres of farm land/woods. About 45 minutes away there's a nice 2500 sqft house sitting on 60 acres with a private pond, and enormous pole barn set up for horse stables. Looks like it could easily be turned into a nice garage/workshop if you're not into horses.

Also about 45 minutes away is a nice looking Mcmansion, 6,000 sqft, 7 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 3 car garage, pool, etc. on 6 acres

I know the feeling. When I started at this company we had 7-8 service techs who knew what they were doing, then a couple of young guys as helpers or could at least run basic service calls on their own. Now 3/4 of the company is tied up in new construction only leaving 4 of us to run service calls and last week two of the guys tested positive for Covid so its been a week straight of me and one other guy running non stop.

First job was Burger King. It kind of sucked but its not the worst thing in the world. My next job was sit down restaurant and I wouldnt say the work was any better, I was still grilling food in a kitchen. However, a few of my friends from school also worked there so it made things much more enjoyable.plus flirting with the waitresses was a nice bonus I hadnt considered before I started there.

I think the other people you work with really make or break just how enjoyable/hateful those jobs are.

At both of the restaurants I worked at when i was younger, servers made about double what the cooks/dish washers made. Tips add up when they're serving multiple tables at a time and and most tables are in/out in under an hour each. It was not uncommon for some of the good looking girls to make more on a Friday or Saturday night than I would make all week. Obviously they dont make nearly as much when its slow, so what days they work would really affect their income for the week.

Hours suck but the pay is great and its a mostly low stress job until winter weather hits. I did it for a couple of years when I was younger and honestly kind of wish I had stuck with it to get enough experience and move on to a different company with shorter hours. The hours were really the only reason I quit. Where I work now is way more stress and actual work, and for arguably less money than I would be making driving a truck.

Maybe depending on the part of the country? Theres a lot of people where I am that are only 1st or 2nd generation American. My ancestors were poor farmers back in Europe.

Id guess its a relatively small percentage of people with ancestors who owned slaves in America. Both because it was predominantly wealthy land owners who had slaves, and also just because the majority of immigration into the US didnt happen until after slavery had ended.
