Plastic is complicated. It's sanitary, safe, stable, and good at preserving things. The vast majority of our products are made in some form or another with plastic. It's undeniably bad for the planet, but most alternatives would encourage an excess of waste that be just as bad or worse. The real problem with plastic is that our planet can't really sustain this many lives. At least not under an infinite growth model like Capitalism.

And this is probably more a flaw in Star Wars as a whole, but it's super dumb that no one really died in that shootout. You have a bunch of unnamed Mods and Freetowners, have the droid and the Pykes take a few of them out FFS. The blaster fight is just super boring because we see Krrsantan take like a half dozen of them with very little effect, so it's undercut by thinking, "Well, good thing Star Wars' future technology is so shit because one grenade would have ended Boba Fett's entire group."

Oh, and the ending was just super dumb. If I lived in that city, I wouldn't be happily bowing to Boba Fett, the dude just invited a gang war and brought in a rancor that destroyed half the fuckin' city.
