I was thinking more that you could show a random clip from either of those to a facebook lawyer who would either quit on the spot or jump out a window at the thought of having to deal with the endless PR nightmares and legal troubles that a metaverse would bring. Half the shit that people do on VR Chat would be the kind of thing a senator would hold up in a congressional hearing to ask Zuck why his company allows it to happen. The fact that they ALREADY had to add personal bubbles because of people being virtually groped just tells me they didn't do their research.

They're thinking microtransactions, and all the money it'll bring in. Second Life is like 20 years old, and it's because it makes money, despite being niche. They aren't thinking PR and whatever else, just $$$ and that's it. I think it's dumb, and I'll never join this meta thing... but humanity is becoming more and more reclusive, and physical contact/meeting people randomly at physical venues is not what it is use be. Movies like "Gamer" are pretty accurate portrayals of what the future of humanity will be like.

Many of the users on CE would get caught simply by how they act and feel towards their political rivals... so I could only imagine how crazy they'd get with it. I've never wished death upon anyone, so I wouldn't need to worry about that -- and the fact others in this topic are trying to find alibis is a sign they'll slip up eventually. TC, i was in a very similar situation... but I was not single, maybe you are, though. She was a cashier that worked at a grocery store I delivered to. I was 32 and she was 20, but I remember checking out at her register and then I got mesmerized by how beautiful she was. I felt creepy ogling at her like that after I left the store, too. I've done a lot of crazy things, but I always won in the end. I had men and women both pursue me, romantically, all the time... but I only made a move on the one I'm currently with.

We were coworkers when we first met, but I ended up going out with someone else, for a year, despite all the moves she tried to make on me. After I broke up with my ex gf, she gave me her phone number because I looked "emo" and "lonely" to her, and looked like I needed someone to talk to.

I didn't text or call her for a week, and didn't have any intention to either... until she decided to break the ice and we eventually got real close. I remember writing poetry and letters to her, even creating things along the themes of what I wrote... and I even baked her a cake and sung "Happy Birthday" to her in front of everyone in the breakroom. And I'm talking like 30 people in there

I have to throw this in there, too, but in High School I was asked out by the hottest girl in school... and said "No", despite me having the biggest crush on her. It's been 22 years, but I can still vividly remember her looking for me in the hallway, rushing towards me and grabbing my backpack and just simply asked "Will you be my boyfriend?". Why I said no... and why I didn't try to go after her years after, I don't know, but it's probably the biggest regret in my life.

it depends. had a job with an asshole manager, so i did it regularly. sick leave, rostered day off, annual leave. i would wake up and decide nope fuck it and call it in.

I hope they are a legit POS and not the kind of boss that my GF is, who actually works out there with her people and is very understanding, as well as gives them gifts on Christmas (from her own money) and buys them lunch every once in a while (also on her dime). She's a manager at walmart, so those aren't cheap bills. And yet, people still call in on her because she's tough and doesn't put up with bs, and laziness.

Yeah, too many haters. I don't get the hate for fleshing out his time with the Tusken Raiders... the man survives a damn sarlacc pit -- and only because of his armor. Did everyone expect him to just come out fine from that and go off on his merry way? I guess they simply wanted a Boba Fett show of him mindlessly flying around in his jet pack going pew pew? *Roll eyes*

It's nice to see the Tusken Raiders be given some humanity and made me look at them as more than just generic scavengers. It's not a perfect show, but these series are far better than the theatrical releases we had. I've bought Episode VII... and well... that's where the plotline ends for me.

This guy must buy seafood and steak for every meal, I guess. I spend between $400 - 500 a month, for two. I could do that in a week or two, easily, if I went out to restaurants daily.
