I just use mailed coupons from BK and Wendy's which come in at least once a month.

I just chose to not let apps track me on the iphone and use the Apple login and payment/wallet, so they don't even get a real email address and credit cards usually. So they get maybe my location and what food I order, that about it. Now Apple and/or Google on the other hand probably know everything about us, lol.

I paid $150 for my iphone se (2020 version). The only real complaint I have is the battery is shit. I'm usually near a desktop/laptop PC, so the phone doesn't get used for anything intensive (i.e. gaming or hd streaming) though.

I'm pretty sure you can still get a 2 quarter ponders or big macs for less than $5 on the app (in my city at least).

Fry's Electronics use to have great deals on parts but became pretty crappy towards the end, though Micro Center has always had better customer service in my experience.

Newegg was great many years ago before being bought out by a Chinese company. Now, their customer service is known to be pretty shit when trying to RMA/refunding stuff.

Diversity in fantasy is great if it makes sense. Wheel of Time was pretty immersion breaking when some random isolated medieval town had more diversity than most modern large American cities, lol. If it was maybe it was a huge trading city with travelers from all over the world, it would make sense.

Mistborn or Stormlight will inevitably get an adaptation. The way all the streaming services are looking for content, means somebody will throw 100 million bucks at it.

If they make a TV/Movie series, it would probably be the original Mistborn trilogy. Stormlight series is far from complete and is probably not going to finish for another 20+ years at this rate. 6 more books, 2-3 years per book, with another Mistborn trilogy planned between book 5 and 6 of Stormlight iirc.

Are these free tax services simple to do stock, crypto and other investments? I usually just pay $30-50 for TurboTax Premier, and importing things like stock trades is very easy.

I bought some AMD back today ($122) after losing 100 shares due to my covered call at $140. It definitely can still go down some more as tech stocks continue to get wrecked though. I still like it long term, though.

I'm down -40k so far this year. I honestly expected a correction and should have been more aggressive selling some stuff in nov/dec. Currently, only have about 12% in cash right now.

Yeah just the coating. Although the drift thing was just like Switch Joy Cons.

I use thumb grips on the dual shock and dual sense controllers. It protects the sticks and I like the texture and feel better anyway.

Current ones i'm using are pretty cheap ($7 for 3 pair).

Are you talking about the texture of the sticks going dull or the input? I luckily haven't experienced drift yet on any first party controllers, even the joy cons (though I hardly use those).

I want to buy a car in the next year or so. The used market is absolutely insane right now and popular new cars are either being marked up several thousand over MSRP or you have to wait 4+ months for your order to arrive. I expect if/when the new car supply problem gets better, we will see the used market tank back to normal, but who knows when that will be.

Wired still has better audio quality for the same price points (usually), but some activities I prefer wireless (like working out/running). The audio jack adapter for Apple phones generally cost only like $7-$9 and are considered a pretty good DAC for that price (some people use the USB-C version on laptops and PCs).

You can get some pretty cheap bt headphones these days. Its not as big an issue people are making out. Where are the same people lamenting the loss of DVD drives in laptops or SCART ports on modern TVs . Life goes on and progress is made. Stop moaning and accept it.

I saw these JLab earbuds on sale for $13. 30+ hours of battery and sounds okay for sub $30 earbuds. Good for beater or spare earbuds that you won't care too much about losing/damaging.

Capital One is unique in that they only raise your limit if you are consistently using the credit you have towards the limit.

So youll have to get your usage to like ~$500 before they will raise it.

To $700 lol.

I personally dislike them for that reason too.

After doing so light googling and yeah, it seems you have to constantly get near the limit for a 3-6 months in a row before they increase. I've updated my income and net worth for them every year or so, they just don't seem to use that as a reason to increase, unlike other cards. I just rarely use that card anymore besides a regular monthly auto bill for my internet.

Most people seem to say that Capital One is the most difficult about raising the limit on your existing card, and it is much easier and quicker to just apply for a different Capital One card to get a new limit, lol. Definitely not going to do that unless maybe they have some crazy good promo or something.

Capital One has treated me well. They gave me an excellent sign-up bonuses: I got a $500 bonus once I had spent $2,000 and didnt have to worry about interest for a year plus. I only had to carry a balance recently due to a surprise bill, but the interest on the thing isnt even bad, for a credit card, so it only hurt a little. Theyre very transparent about everything too.

Meanwhile, I get 1.5% cash back and little statement credits for certain online shopping sites. Its probably saved me a nice chunk of change.

I have 8 credit cards atm and honestly dislike my Capital One card for only one reason, they are strict as hell about raising my credit limit. I got the card when I was pretty young, nearly 15 years ago, and my current limit is still only $600. It has only increased once, and I've been rejected for increase after requesting it, lol. All my other cards range from 8k to 15k now. My current credit score is ~820 with very little debt and no missed payments ever on any credit/loan (I almost always pay full balance every month). My liquid assets are now above 500k. $600 credit limit, SMH. WTF Capital One, lol.

Depends on what countries and how rich we are talking about. I have extremely rich relatives in Southeast Asia, and they live far better than the vast majority of us in America, lol. They have maids, cooks, drivers, multiple large houses, travel all the time, ect.

I did end up ordering PS5 Disc version today. Also, just got back from trading-in my PS4 1tb slim to Gamestop since they were giving $247 credit for it, which is great considering I bought it for $200 brand new and it came with the Spider-Man game at the time.

My Gamestop said they were getting/selling PS5s in on Friday, just a heads up to others.
