Not if youre part of a large candidate pool, like initial vetting interviews that take 15-20 minutes, or part of a bad interview. But, if youre part of a small select group, and the process went well? Definitely. Their first choice might end up turning the job down and potential employers notice little things like this. It can help separate two close candidates as well.

Ugh. Chickpeas are gross. Glad I'm not in school. Why don't they just offer it as an alternative option throughout the week, alongside non-vegan foods instead of just on one day?

Because government feels the need to force people to do shit, either directly or indirectly. Give the kids a choice and 99% of them will ignore the vegan options. Take the choice away and now its either eat lunch or suffer until you get dismissed. Making it on universal pizza day just adds salt to the wound.

Shouldve just kept it as Washington Football Team. It was a nice callback to a bygone era when teams simply used their city name to identify themselves. Commanders just feels like a generic create-a-team name, and that someone forgot the deadline was coming up so they came up with a rushed list.

I'm glad someone is finally standing up to the atrocious Rooney Rule. It is racist to force a "token" interview and should never have been implemented.

Without it youd never see black coaches even getting interviewed. It is necessary, but theres nothing to force the hiring of these coaches. The only way you can get impartial bias is through an outside committee or firm coming in and conducting the search for the organization, but it is still ultimately left up to the owner and GM.

He has a text that basically proves the job was filled before his interview. The whole case is going to hinge on whether he can convince a court that was a byproduct of racism or the kind of thing you see in interviews for regular companies.

Exactly my point. Sports teams have a list of targets in ranking order, and they do this at all levels. This is standard practice and has been for a long time. So unless he can prove that they had no interest in him other than fulfilling the requirements of the Rooney Rule, hes pretty much cancelled himself out of ANY potential job. And he still had the Saints that havent made a decision yet.

Otherwise hes going in with statistics that everyone already knows about, and circumstantial evidence at best. It would go to trial to decide whether a hospital can deny a person care if they refuse the Covid vaccine. If the hospital wins, it sets a precedent that defends actions like this one. If they lose, then medical care has to be given regardless of vaccination status. Its an interesting argument.

So hospitals should make exceptions to rules if you have strong political beliefs that they're lying about vaccines? Why even go to the hospital if you don't trust the doctors:m

So denying people life saving care because they dont want an optional vaccine is the way to go? Hope they have enough cash for the ensuing lawsuit after that man dies.

Anyone who dies turns.

That was actually the original rule implied by John Russo and George Romero in the Night of the Living Dead. In Russos sequel novelization, Return of the Living Dead(not the same as the 80s comedy/horror movie), the survivors of the first disaster realize that people turn when they die and the brain is left intact, so they started driving spikes into the deads heads to keep them dead. The second disaster occurred because there was a bus accident with numerous fatalities and they didnt get to the site in time to stop the resurrections and prevent the spread. In the Walking Dead, these movies/books never existed so thats why they seemed so clueless about what it was that was happening. But, it followed the rule that Russo had established that anyone who died will resurrect.

Now to answer the OP. With the way things are right now, wed probably butcher the response early on. The Doomsdayers would be full military mode, people would be getting killed and bitten due to not being capable of rekilling loved ones, and the government would be gridlocked in a bureaucratic mess. Then wed get to a point where wed get it under control, but the government wants to rehabilitate the zombies and use them for different military reasons. It would be a mess.
