I think superimposing your thoughts onto an animal in that particular way makes me think you have a lot of other opinions I'd find in a manifesto.

The constant is one of the best episodes of TV ever made and I thoroughly enjoyed my rewatch last year after having not watched it since it was on the air. I'm fully aware of the the last 2 seasons issues and don't care. :)

Tyranthraxus posted...
The sub held a vote to see if they should do the interview and everyone said no. They ignored everyone and did it anyway and determined Doreen was the best person to send somehow.

So if it was planned sabotage then all the mods were in on it.

That sub was getting a ton of clicks and views, the kellogg's labor negotiations highlighted that workers can strike and have power against management. I wouldn't put past some right wing think tank to pay off the mods with some low 5 figure payout. I'd assume most of them have shitty jobs/student loans/are poor and would jump at the chance for an easy payout to go on national TV and try to discredit the sub. I mean the interview was so bad I just refuse to believe that this person was the one chosen in good faith to send the best message despite tens of thousands of comments and votes telling them not to do it because the news would find a way to make them look bad or twist words. Just seems really questionable for this to happen to THIS particular subreddit that deals with a huge societal issue.

ngl this seems like a planned sabotage. This mod literally sounds and looks like an exaggerated caricature of what a fox news watcher thinks a liberal person sounds like during that interview, then throw on a random confession of being a rapist? Not buying it, that person 100% took a payday to tank that sub.

This guy is status 3 at the most if he's sitting in a chair with a swan, probably on mod/high level iv inotropes and medically managed for the rest. No chance he was near the top of the list unless he's got a vad hidden someplace in that pic. Also there's no (reputable) transplant program that would take him without all his vaccinations and him passing a list of evaluations including a psych evaluation. Dude is also going to take a bunch of necessary harmful meds to depress his immune system and keep his body from rejecting the donor heart for the rest of his life, if he can't even get a simple shot then he won't be trusted to stay on his medication regimen. The transplant patients both heart and kidney that I've taken care of would have crawled across a mile of hot broken glass and made pit stops on the way to suck dick to get that organ and take care of it. This guy is a bitchmade loser that I would bet thousands on being a failed case within 3 years for noncompliance anyway.

TopicWhy in the right mind would anyone quit a job like nursing?
snowman9267
11/29/21 3:22:31 AM
#41
  1. Administration treating nursing as an expense rather than an asset, leaving units working short staffed with with too many patients to safely care for.
  2. Most states have little to no union support, leading to lower wages, higher patient ratios, increased burnout, etc.
  3. Rude, entitled, ignorant, unpleasant patients and their families.
  4. Lots of nursing jobs are very physical and cause injuries either from poor lifting in unfavorable conditions or from gradual wear on your joints. Healthcare workers are often very high up on the list for most frequently injured profession. I've had literally zero of my injured coworkers tell me how great and supportive management and the worker's comp process was in helping them get back to work as safely as possible.
  5. High emotional stress if you work in ER, ICU, etc
There's probably more but those were the reasons I could come up with in 2-3 minutes. It's not a terrible job but there are way easier and less stressful ways to make decent money. Thankfully I don't have any children and made a lot of good investments so I only have to do it for another 12 years or so probably then I can retire early. I also quit the ICU after 9 years and took a super cush procedural job for the same pay and better hours, lol. I probably would have just gone into designing software had I known what hospital nursing is actually like.

E: unless you're going for a nurse anesthetist license or a nurse practitioner a nursing doctorate is actual useless garbage. You'd make more money throwing your tuition into a bitcoin hail mary. Also most doctors work super hard and are great to work with. Obviously there are a couple morons occaisonally but that's any job.

I'm quitting my icu job this week for a dope part time procedural job. Kinda wish I would have picked up a big money travel contract instead but this position is pretty perfect and they don't come around often so I'm going to give it a shot and if there's another wave of covid morons next year and stupid money is still being given out for travel nursing I might have to snag one even though I don't really want to do it. Got a buddy who cleared $350k last year so.... O__O
