I really don't understand the mindset of tipping a girl more because she's hot. Is the expectation to get laid? Or to appear lesser than the person being tipped? It seems like if there are enough people who tip solely on someone being hot, then they're gonna pick up on the fact that it's cuz they're hot and that all the people tipping more might be automatically assumed to be bitches.

I've been coming to this board for so long with various accounts that are now banned. It really is a waste of time, and I've realized this for a while. But I just had nothing to replace that waste of time with. Right now, CE is replacing my wasted time on FB because I need some sort of social outlet, but I feel like both are a waste. Now I have goals for writing novels, poetry, games, and maybe movie scripts. I have stuff to do so CE is beginning to be less attractive.

I'm noticing changes even as an adult. I was never too obsessed with them, but definitely pedestaled them. I never wanted to be like anyone specifically, but I definitely assumed too much of people's talents or creative abilities when now I think it is mostly luck and/or hard work to get great at things...basically anything.

Anyway, what inspired this topic was I was looking at a celebrity and said, "fuck that bitch" with a sort of feeling or empathic quality to it that I would normally feel when saying it about a co-worker. So I definitely don't pedestal celebrities anymore. I think the more literal understanding of this came like a decade ago (I'm 33 currently), but now I feel like capable and/or more capable than some celebrities at doing their own jobs.

I think I'm funnier than some comedians. I think I'm musically talented than many popular musicians, etc.

Tbh they are all skippable.

Adam Carolla is just mad that he's not funny. He's an egomaniac so he thinks he's like 1UPing his fellow comedians by being virtually the only right winger comedian in existence. Great point. I never thought of it that way. That being said, I think most of the people being stolen from "have made it" so to speak, while the people stealing haven't. I don't think it's so black and white. We need to support the arts as much as we can, but we should be afforded the right to steal SOME art without punishment.

I think the arts stimulate imagination and growth of culture. I think if people want to be artists themselves, it's probably a good idea to steal some art tbh before you make it. I think it will make them a better artist.

Stealing isn't as clean cut as it seems anyway. If people didn't steal, they would never consume, i.e., watch, listen, etc. to the art and thus never be able to recommend the art to others. So some of that theft is paid back via word of mouth.

I've been listening to Joe since before he had 300 podcasts up and got into the MMA podcasts, etc. He actually started as more of a guy that would appeal to hippies and intellectuals (the core of the left wing that actually has any potential to change the world) because he talked about psychedelics a lot and had academics on. Then he changed after he moved to Austin and got more famous...a couple years before the Spotify deal...maybe less.

He's just a guy who wants to keep his head open because we don't have all the facts. He has a sort of masculine exterior because he hunts and does UFC announcing, but most of his views are overwhelmingly left wing, at least by America's standards.

He was a lot more open about psychedelics and I think he reached out to the hippie community first which is why it's so weird that he's no resonating with conservatives. Then he started getting famous people on the show. I think he wants to bridge a gap. It might be all just political games. I think he wants to merge right wing people with newer views and that's probably why he lives in Texas. Remember, he lives in Austin. That's a liberal city. I think he might be acting a bit. He's a reality star just like Trump. And he's a comedian and announcer. He knows how to put on a show.
