I'm definitely interested in this one. I like sets that can pull double use in a more generic lego setting; the Hocus Pocus house could be repurposed as an alchemist's hut, the Jaws boat would fit right in with a city harbor setting, and this would make an excellent haunted ship for a fantasy / medieval setting.

I agree with you! Your own fantasy is the only limit with these kinda sets.

We built the LEGO Friends movie night set. Pretty basic, good for young kids.

My favorite part though is the working projector LMAO. It's a light block and it shines through one of two slides (princess holding a book or UFO with a beam of light) that projects the imagine onto a large flat white tile.

Do you have any special theme(s)? Mine are all FF-inspired and they are six bigger pieces. Four on one of my legs and two on one of my upper arms. Got room for one more on that upper arm so Ill do something there in the future.

As a Swede: Summer. Lovely temps and it is light outside. In Winter there is some greyish depressing light between 9-ish and 14 here. Then just darkness and more darkness. If its very overcast then its pretty much dark all day.

This polling is a great showcase of how the Socialdemocrats currently manage to be popular with voting groups who otherwise vote very differently.

The upper part are blue collar men in southern Sweden aged 24-29 who are members of the LO-union (typical worker union). The Nationalists are their first pick but the SocDems dont do poorly either, despite the other Left-wing and Centrist parties having extremely low support.

The lower part are women 24-29 years old with a university degree who live in the Stockholm area and are members of SACO which is a more academic union who represent many well paid professions. The Socialdemocrats are biggest party and the other Left-wing and Centrist parties also do well. The Nationalists are cooked with this voting group.

I agree with Golden Eel though, it doesn't really have much Goonies character to it.

I did a quick googling and the different scenarios in the ship look pretty spot on for scenes from the movie. Just that they are built inside The Inferno instead of being along the path to the ship.

It is expensive but the build looks sooo good imo. Probably a lot of fun to put together! The upside of these type of sets is that they give fans of the IP plenty to enjoy.

We thankfully have several parties and the opposition are in a great position in the polls. But our Liberals govern together with the Nationalists since October 2022. The Nationalists dont hold cabinet positions but the entire policy agenda of the government rest on the so called Tid Agreement which the Nationalists are instrumental in creating.

Not only do they keep polling way below the 4% threshold.

A new party leader poll show that 21% dont know who the Liberal party leader is. She is relatively new on the job but its been several months.

And of those who know who she is 47% have zero or very low approval of her. Only 3% have a high approval of her.

This is the karma when you sell out your liberal roots to kiss Nationalist feet. Good riddance. The Liberals must get kicked out of Riksdagen in September next year since it will completely ruin the chances of the Right-wing government getting a second term.

My country had a Conservative PM in the late 80s and early 90s who was soooooo pro-USA. The other week he was on a major TV channels morning show pretty much saying that Sweden and Europe should cut ties with the USA since your country voted for this mad administration. Hes just a regular citizen these days but for someone like him to have this change of opinion says a lot.

The fact that the traditional Right voted yes makes me think that they want a life insurance in place in case the Far-Right go completely bonkers and stab them in the back.

Guess which party voted against these changes? The Nationalists. And now they complain that they want a public referendum on the issue.

One of their arguments? That the Socialdemocrats now are too popular in the polls and thus could get veto power on changes to the Constitution if people vote as the polls show. Such a bullshit and anti-democracy answer. Typical behaviour of fascists.

These changes are pretty much a direct response to what has happened in countries like the USA and Hungary. A safeguard against the same thing happening here.

She grabbed her bag could both mean that a woman grabbed her own bag and that a woman grabbed someone elses bag.

In Swedish:

Hon tog sin vska = She grabbed her own bag

Hon tog hennes vska = She grabbed another womans bag

As a Chicagoian, snow is the most annoying of winter.

I enjoy snow. But maybe its a learned trauma response lmao. As a kid there was snow on the ground from early October until the last melted in early June.
