I know there's post wedding editing and picking the good pics from the bad, it still doesn't quite add up as being worth $2k work.

It's incredibly specialized work. You book them on a very specific day, for a very specific time, for a very specific event, for a very specific type of photo editing, etc. and so on. Specialized work isn't cheap, because they basically have to work on your whim, and so it's priced accordingly.

No, he shouldn't. He did his job, they refused to even acknowledge him further, so he took it on himself to decide what to do with the photos he took. They paid him to take the photos, clearly they didn't have a contract stating what he should do with them.

The photographer was a friend of the couple, and was a DOG GROOMER who just happened to sometimes take pics of his clients to show his work. The couple asked if he'd be willing to be their wedding photographer (instead of just a guest) for $250 because they were on a "shoestring budget", and he agreed because they said they didn't need them to be professional.

Fast forward to the wedding day, he's been there since the early morning taking pics of the bride getting ready, only to find that when it comes to the meal, they've REMOVED HIM FROM THE GUEST LIST. Meaning he has nowhere to sit, nothing to eat or drink, and the couple says he's not allowed to go and get food or water because he needs to be taking pictures during the meal.

He says that's bullshit. Groom says to keep doing the job they asked him to do, or leave without pay. He leaves, because he's not about to let himself do a full day without water, and deletes the pictures since they're not paying him.

If you've literally never been to the doctor for anything... An illness, a physical, a checkup, a blood test, whatever... Then, yes, you absolutely are unusual. And that's entirely why the current medical system is a problem. Your average person DOES need access to those things. It can definitely depend where you live. When I lived in Kentucky, and I was working a, basically, minimum wage job, I qualified for Obamacare, and it was basically the best thing to ever happen to me, at the time.

I then moved to Nevada, with a much better job that offered fantastic insurance.

I then lost said job due to downsizing, but Nevada has a system that still helps you, based on your income. I don't know if it's specifically an Obamacare extension or not, I just know it exists.

The point is, make sure you know all of your options before just giving up. You might be surprised.

I'd look into seeing if you can get any kind of credit from the state. For example, in Nevada, due to my current income being a good bit less than it used to be, I get a credit from the state that makes my insurance much, much more affordable.

Be sure to explore every possible option before just calling it quits.

I think the issue with focusing on what the actual tournament players want is... That's what lead to things like Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite being so much worse than previous titles. When you cater only to the most hardcore PvP players, it becomes less fun for everybody else. Granted, MvC ended up not even doing the former right, so they lost both, but... The point stands.

The ratio of people willing to try playing competitive battles online has definitely increased in correlation with how easy it is to do so, and I think that's a bigger win. At the end of the day, the tournament players are still playing, even if they gripe. Meanwhile, by making things easier, you're getting more people enjoying online than ever before.

To be fair, it's not that Apple would "restrict" features. It's that those features literally weren't available on non-iOS devices, so in order for the two to communicate, they had to be disabled when texting said devices. It's like if you use Skype to call somebody's landline.

The point is that Apple was willing to still allow the two to communicate, whereas Google's goal with RCS is to remove SMS completely and force everybody to use RCS, which relies on Google's servers.

I programmed for both. Btw, if you ever think apps have too much restrictions, it's generally because Apple made it impossible to implement some features, and Android had to follow suit cuz iOS is more dominant in the US, where most developers live.

As a mobile developer, I'd like to hear what these features are, exactly, because I can't think of any features that fit the criteria of "Apple made it impossible and Android had to follow suit."

No... imessage is not SMS. Its it's own thing like Snapchat or WhatsApp. Apple just integrates it into the default messaging app. That's why we have green bubbles vs blue bubbles.

Imessage uses SMS as a default. Yes, it's something built ON TOP of SMS, but if you aren't sending to another Imessage phone, it just uses SMS. There's no difference to the actual user.

RCS does NOT do this. RCS requires a Google server.

What the player wants is entirely irrelevant vs. what happened, though. Shaq ended up being part of a super team. LeBron intentionally left a super team to try to lead a weaker team to a championship. If somebody hates the idea of "super teams," then they should hate Shakobe, regardless of how it came to be. Saying "super teams" only became a thing recently is just bias.

Apple vs. Android is pretty much a thing only perpetuated by the Android side, and it's caused almost entirely by Google purposely trying to change how texting works entirely just to try to bank a monopoly off of it. There was literally no reason to change how your common texting works, since if you want anything more, plenty of apps already exist. Google be greedy, though. Apple are the ones who want to stick with traditional texting, and leave anything fancier to apps. Google/Android are the ones that are trying to do away with traditional texting completely, in favor of Google server sided apps.
