Option 3 for me.

My favorite series is Fire Emblem. I've played every game besides FE1&2 and it was one of my first videogames growing up. I'll support the main-line entries in that series until I can't game anymore

The only series that comes close is Soulsborne. Coincidentally the Souls series has my favorite game which is Dark Souls 3.

Gamefaqs is my main spot for actually engaging with people.

YouTube is probably my most active site, and a big part of that is because I download all my music using YouTube red.

Third would probably go to tvtropes or D20PFRSD. Tvtropes is a great site to waste some time and learn about/find new games to get.

I go on the D20PFRSD a lot when I'm at college because I don't bring my books with me and I whenever I get some time I usually like to design an encounter or environment to use for later campaigns.

Wow I remember Baiten Kaitos. I first started playing when I was mad young and terrible at games so I remember dying to Giacomo a bunch. The whole premise of you being a guardian spirit was dope though.

Yeah though, I can't think of anything like it other than the prequel (which was also pretty good iirc). I mean, there are other card based RPG's like Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, but i doubt many others have the same mechanics like cards aging/changing over time like that did.

I hung out with some of my buddies during the Thanksgiving break, and we started reminiscing about our experiences with videogames.

It can be anything from a favorite moment to an experience before you even had a game.

I distinctly remember my first time seeing one of my friends play Oblivion which encouraged me to save up to be able to play it. I had only owned Nintendo consoles up to that point so I had never actually played a game like it before. My mind was blown when I saw him sneaking around, picking locks and summoning monsters.

We also all used to go home after practice and watch sports while talking on party chat.

I'm actually starting a new campaign for my buddies. It's a homebrew setting centered around a form of magical radiation which has swept across the continent.

I'm planning on using the setting to up the difficulty and to teach them to utilize downtime. The smaller and more distant communities also means that they have to be more careful about how they go about things in town.

I've also added a fun little housing and modification mechanic to get them more invested in their living space.

Almost every book that I've read that did stuff like that would put a synopsis of Characters and events/important terms at the front. That way readers who pick up the story late, or who haven't read the series in a while can refresh themselves.

The exception is the inheritance cycle, which put all the words at the end iirc because Paolini basically made a dictionary.

It does seem a little strange to list your characters out for your first book/volume though, it takes away from the initial impact of the character.

You make jokes and references to what you're interested in and if they reciprocate you can make more until you're sure.

Alternatively (and far more simply) you can simply ask them if they ever heard of something called (whatever you're interested in) and if they say yes you try to have a conversation about it with them.
