My total tally of games beaten is over 1100 but my indie games resume leaves much to be desired. Cuphead is the best indie game I've played so far but it barely cracks my Top 200. It is a very good game but can't match the best AAA games out there. I've decided to play more Indie games this year, hence the scouting topic here. |

| Axl_Rose_85 05/21/19 12:27:13 PM #17 | I tried all the so called 2D Dark Souls clones like Hollow Knight, Salt & Sanctuary and Dead Cells and none of them were even remotely comparable in quality. Granted I do prefer 3D over 2D gaming by a wide margin, there have been amazing games of the same genre like SoTN and Super Metroid and those indie games I mentioned, frankly, weren't anywhere close to that level. Hollow Knight had a bit of promise but the slow plodding pace, terrible map mechanics and uninspired environment eventually led me to quitting the game with absolutely no regrets. |

Top 10 list would be appreciated Since I have literally no AAA game I want to play right now. I'm exploring the indie scene of gaming so yeah this can be a scouting topic as well. | Axl_Rose_85 05/19/19 9:35:14 AM #7 | On the note of NG+ being generally easier. Of course it is. Not just Sekiro all other Souls games were the same. Because the 1st playthrough really kicks your ass and forces you to git gud at the combat and master its mechanics. The 2nd playthrough is basically you going back to those adversaries you've already overcome with more knowledge, resources and mastery of the combat. I don't think I have played a single Soulsborne game that I have not found much easier on New Game+ despite the ramped up stats. |

Difficulty ramps up by quite a lot in that most attacks that don't one shot you normally does and your posture breaks like ice. Not to mention takin chip damage if you don't deflect perfectly. Dark Souls > Bloodborne > Sekiro > Dark Souls III > Demon's Souls > Dark Souls II |
