Despite Final Fantasy VII being my favorite game of all time, I'd still vote for P4 for it to do well against it. My Top 4, which I consider to be the absolute greatest games of all time consists of FF7, FF8, P4 and Dark Souls. I'd hesitate to vote against any of these even if another game I love, which has no shot at beating those games, were its opponents. But then I'd vote for P4 and Dark Souls over FF7 since I know that they have no prayer of a shot against it. And while FF8 is likely stronger than those two, it is the only game I'd vote over those two because the margin is a lot smaller than FF7 if that all makes sense. So to the point, I'd literally vote for P4 over 99.9% of things here but I absolutely refuse to vote for P4G (despite being arguably the best port of a game ever) or even take it over something meaningful in my bracket because it simply does not belong in this contest. I'd wager quite a few feel the same so that in itself is enough for P4G to lose quite a number of its strength. I voted for FTL over P4G despite not giving a shit about that game. Heck I'd vote for games like Journey and Edith Finch which I consider absolute trash over P4G. |

Im sure Persona 4 by itself would easily make the division finals if not outright win it. Xenoblade in god-beast mode is an absolutely beautiful sight to behold. Such an amazing game with performances matching its quality. |

It doesn't belong in this bracket because it isn't even from this decade. One can make the argument that Resident Evil 2 Remake and HeartGold/SoulSilver made the bracket as well but RE2 is a full blown remake that plays vastly different from the original. It is its own game, very different from the original Resident Evil style HG/SS, I don't like it being in the bracket either, but that is actually a shot-to-shot remake and not just a port with additional content so it is somewhat excusable (even though it is also actually the same game). P4G however just does not belong here despite my absolute love for that game. And LOL at people who actually thought DOOM and God of War were remakes. Good god. Also, BlackTurtle, Yuri account bet or whatever for Xenoblade's doubling of Overwatch has been hilarious and I doubt BT keeps his word. Yes I have been lurking here since day one. |

Dont bother with 1 and 2. 3 is my favorite in the series and even that one is borderline above average. 4 is ok but has zero creativity and is just a generic JRPG from the PS1 era. 5 I didnt bother to beat. Lufia II, I can really vouch for it. Such a joy to play even now. And if you are looking for standout JRPGs from that era, do yourself a favor and try Phantasy Star IV for the Genesis. |

I'd probably pick MGS4 and heck even Death Stranding to have better codec than MGS2 because at least it gets it point across quick without beating around the bush for the sake of pretentious complexity. |

It has more optional conversations definitely and more volume but it doesn't match how every time you get the codec call ringtone in MGS1, there is this feeling of unpredictability and urgency. And why wouldn't it? A lot of the important revelations are done in the codec conversations. MGS3 has good codec conversations don't get me wrong but it has never quite captured that same feeling nor has any other game after MGS1. |

Ex: Team Fortress 2, Civilization V, etc. Not sure I have the willpower to do it with all the indie junk and trash heap that has made it to the bracket this time. I have exactly 100 beaten from the 111 Ive played this time. |

As for 2nd strongest, There are only 2 real options and they are Smash Ultimate and Skyrim. Undertale shouldnt be an option because it is either gonna job to the likes of Arkham City or get a rally and 60-40 BotW in the finals or worse. |

I mean Odyssey was SFFed by BotW sure but Im confident P5 is stronger than at least The Last of Us and non rallied Undertale (barely beat Xenoblade X in 2015 GotY poll) from the poll options. Also Skyrim vs Ultimate will be a lot closer than people think if they ever meet. People are forgetting how Fallout 3 wrecked the competiton in GotD1, and Skyrim is definitely a lot stronger. |
