Well yeah true, but I asked some lady friends of mine and they said they didnt think shed say something like that without cause.

But for sure, that could 100% be, but the point still stands because I totally whiffed at shooting a shot either way. Like, even if she wasnt hitting on me there was at least an opening there for me to attempt to say something smooth.

I was at Goodwill today and there was this really pretty cashier, and when I walked up and started talking to her she was like, Oh, you have a really nice voice! And gave me a big smile. And I was just like, Thanks, you too! and left the store.

It was like 5 minutes before I realized she had been hitting on me lol

The people that voted 21st Century are so fucking wrong it is unbelievable.

In the C.E (Common Era)/BCE (Before Common Era) or if you prefer A.D (Anno Domini)/B.C (Before Christ) notation used by The Gregorian Calander there is no year zero. 1 BCE/1BC was followed by 1AD/CE.

Meaning that a hundred years is from 1 - 101.

Meaning that the 21st Cenutry and the Third Millennium started in 2001CE.AD.

Dang good point

KINSHASA, May 19 (Reuters) - The leader of an attempted coup on Sunday in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has been killed and some 50 people including three American citizens arrested, a spokesman for the Central African country's army told Reuters.

Gunfire rang out around 4 a.m. in the capital Kinshasa, a Reuters reporter said. Armed men attacked the presidency in the city centre, according to spokesman Sylvain Ekenge.

Another attack took place at the nearby home of Vital Kamerhe, a member of parliament who is tipped to become speaker, Kamerhe's spokesman, Michel Moto Muhima, and the Japanese ambassador said in posts on X.

Moto Muhima said two guards and an attacker had been killed in that incident. Ekenge also said one attacker was killed there.

A shell fired from Kinshasa hit the city of Brazzaville in neighbouring Republic of Congo, injuring several people, that country's government said in a statement, adding that one person had been hospitalised.

Ekenge named Christian Malanga, a U.S.-based Congolese politician, as the leader of the attempted coup.

"Malanga was definitively neutralised during the attack on the Palais de la Nation, a certain Aboubacar was neutralised during the attack on the residence of Vital Kamarhe [and] the others - around 50 including three American citizens - were arrested and are currently undergoing interrogation by the specialised services of the Armed Forces," Ekenge told Reuters.

He said Malanga first attempted and aborted a coup in 2017 and that one of the American citizens arrested was Malanga's son.

It looked like they were waving the game, what makes it weird is they started trying again shortly after. Nuggets looked kinda disinterested for much of these Playoffs.

One thing the actress will be doing is returning to Star Wars, with a film set 15 years after the events of The Rise of Skywalker, directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. Asked if her co-star John Boyega will also be joining her in the new film she played coy; does she want him to be a part of it? Absolutely, of course, Ridley said of the two being back together. It feels like we should, yeah.

Mercedes-Benz (ETR: MBG) has recruited Reverend Matthew Wilson, a pastor from Marion, Alabama, to dissuade workers at its Tuscaloosa factory complex and electric battery plant from joining the United Auto Workers (UAW) union.

As the 5,200 employees began voting on Monday on whether to unionize, they were met with a company text message that tried to remind them about the importance of keeping work separate from community and family and more than suggested that a union would have a negative impact beyond the plant walls.

The union drive at Mercedes-Benz is fueled by a culmination of grievances, including the pandemic, the introduction of a tier-two wage system, and the layoffs of temporary workers who were promised permanent positions. Rev. Wilsons involvement in the anti-union campaign has of course raised eyebrows, with some pointing out that large corporations often rely on church leaders to preach an anti-union message in exchange for financial support.

The UAW has filed six charges against Mercedes-Benz for various anti-union practices, including disciplining employees for discussing unionization, banning the distribution of union materials, and making statements suggesting that union activity is futile.

Rev. Wilsons personal interactions with pro-union workers on the assembly line have also been called into question, with some employees reporting that he disparaged civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and attempted to instill fear about the financial consequences of striking.

Martin Luther King was an elitist classist who did not care about the average American, Rev. Wilson told Detrick Lewis, a veteran employee who has been working on the assembly line in the body shop at Mercedes-Benz since 2014. He had asked the reverend how he felt about Martin Luther King, Jr.

Despite the companys efforts, many workers remain committed to the union cause, citing recent successes at other auto plants, such as the Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where workers voted to join the UAW. The election at Mercedes-Benz runs through May 17, with the vote count scheduled for 9:45 a.m. Central time.

A group of orcas known to attack boats in southwest Europe have sunk a 50-foot sailing yacht in the Strait of Gibraltar after ripping open its hull. It is the fifth time these killer whales have sent a ship to the seafloor in the last three years.

And experts have warned that more attacks are likely in the coming months after the orcas unexpectedly switched up their behavior earlier this year.
