It's definitely worse than Lawon's. Lawon thought for some reason that there'd be some "power" to an evicted Houseguest. While we know he was wrong, he at least had reason to do the stupid thing he did - a reason that actually makes some sense given how the Coup had been a thing in BB11. Still absurd that an evicted Houseguest would get such a thing, however. Marcellas... had no reason to not use the Veto on himself. All Danielle did was "promise him" she wouldn't vote to evict ihm. So while Lawon was dumb, his reason checks out far better than Marcellas' ever did.

Evel Dick called Mike Dutz "dumber than Marcellas" in BB8 when the idiot, in the endurance Veto comp where the rest of the cast got to taunt whoever they pleased, started taunting Dick when it was just him and Jenuine left. Seeing as Mike was the only person taunting him, Dick said "Fuck it" and got off, knowing his replacement nominee asked for it. I don't think Mike was dumber than Marcellas. I think it's close - he's top five and gets forgotten since that happened early in the season, however.

Cody C taking Derrick was also stupid, but while he's the Woo of Big Brother for it, I don't feel that he's AS dumb as Woo. He's close, certainly, but I chalk that up to the behavior exhibited before then (Woo acted far more clueless the entire time than Cody ever did) and that Tony manipulated Woo into playing the honor card while Cody simply did it out of his nature. Even so... he cost himself the money SOLELY by doing that.

So maybe Cody Calafiore took the throne from Marcellas. Hmmm... for SINGLE MOVES:

1. Cody C taking Derrick over Princess Victoria
2. Marcellas not using the Veto on himself
3. Mike D convincing Evel Dick to put him up as a replacement nom
4. Jacob publicly calling the HOH in a known Instant Eviction "a snake"
5. Lawon asking to be evicted thinking it'd get him a power

Jacob didn't do a single thing right, however. Worst thing he did was sleeping around - and it ended up coming back to bite his butt in Big Brother.

I like Lex's entertainment value, but my overall feelings on him are more neutral than anything. I liked him some in Africa... but then All-Stars happened >_>

Also that safari in the hot air balloon was epic, forgot to mention that. Perhaps Africa should be higher on my list, however slightly, based on what I'm thinking about now. The thing is that pretty much everything I have above it feels like it should be above it.

For me, that was Cook Islands, but that's because I overrated it in the first place. Africa has ping-ponged all over the place in my rankings over the years, but has usually been in the bottom half (but never the bottom tier)

Angela was actually the one who convinced Level 6 and friends to boot Kaitlyn over Rockstar, but the shit edit didn't say that truth for some reason. She should have been included in tonight's episode because of that.

HOW THE FUCK did Kaitlyn butcher that gimme task? I mean, it is Kaitlyn, and I am going to miss the glorious trainwreck, but... yeah, you don't fail a task tested by 5 y/o kids and deserve to come back in.

Cook Islands has some of the most blatantly terrible editing in Survivor, especially for an old school season. It should be in the pits among the worst of Survivor.

Samoa, Ghost Island, and S38 are all still worse. I say that and 38 hasn't even aired yet, I know. It's guaranteed to be worse.

Cook Islands is definitely one of the worst-edited seasons, and now I think I might have ranked it a bit too high here. Why the hell did an old list of mine have it really high? That rewatch really opened my eyes to the truth to how it's a sucky season. My IRL Survivor buddy says it's the worst one. And I understand it, but... at least that season brought us Penner, Parv, and Yul. I'd love to see Yul play again without an Invulnerability Idol to see how he'd do.

The prescription thing definitely surprised me. I had heard before that Brandon Hantz wasn't allowed to have his prescription meds on Caramoan, which contributed to his behavior.

Kathy Sleckman is in the same category. I heard she was recently off her meds so her feelings of depression led her to quit Micronesia. Perhaps those incidents got them to change their tune, seeing as neither made for good TV - one was pitiable, though hard to present as relatable (even though I can totally relate), the other was downright uncomfortable to watch.

Ace Attorney Investigations 2: Prosecutor's Path* - Started this, couldn't even get through the second case.

Same here. I don't know why I didn't keep to it, honestly. The first case was great.

I'll definitely look into your recommendations, thanks. It's usually I play what I feel like when I feel like it. I might get a hankering for something more like L.A. Noire or Watch Dogs. Who knows?

For example, I got a hankering for Tales with that SMC going on so I started Xillia and am loving it. Xillia spoilers My goodness, Gilland is inhumane. Wanting to sap people of their mana, probably killing everyone on the planet? That's one of the most evil things I've ever seen in a JRPG. It - yes, Gilland has earned "it" status - will die, of course, like it deserves. I still don't fully trust either Alvin or Muzet. Alvin was on a cruise on the ship we're in the process of blowing up 20 years ago when he got trapped on Rieze Maxia. Yet, even though he said both pieces separately, he didn't tell the party. That Jude is no longer able to tether with Muzet implies A LOT OF THINGS. She was using him temporarily...

And then I fought the "fake" final boss Gilland, and all hell broke loose. There are many more layers to this and Milla gave her life to protect the people... but only temporarily, obviously. She'll regenerate in no time, though again without the Four. Jude is an idiot for thinking she should live for just him instead of give her life for the good of Rieze Maxia. What a selfish twit. His mission should now be to carry out Milla's vision. She would have wanted it that way.

That was a last-minute thing, most likely. Production didn't anticipate the obvious of the haves just steamrolling the have-nots. They thought the have-nots would "be highly motivated to win" while the haves would "take it easy with their cushy life." Uh, hello? You can't motivate yourself that well if you don't have enough energy to do it.

So yeah, that bottle was created as a way to send Moto to Tribal in hopes that it would cause fractures to appear in that tribe. When it didn't work, they swapped.

Tales of Xillia: I can say that I did not expect there to be another planet on the other side of a barrier. Why? Because they've done that "two worlds" stuff enough in Tales games. I was expecting them to take a different direction. It just felt like "been there, done that." Even so, I am enjoying this cast even more now - their chemistry is quite apparent. And when it was just Jude (I got 175 Snap Pivots during my time playing as him, so another trophy get), that void felt... strange. As for Muzet, I don't know who the hell she actually is. Something just doesn't add up. She knows who Celsius is, Milla doesn't. She claims that she was summoned by Milla's strong feelings for Jude, hoping he would be okay. But Milla, the Lord of Spirits, is not aware of this. And the two of them have absolutely zero resemblance. Would not surprise me if Muzet were a spy sent by Gilland to replace Alvin, who clearly has no loyalty to Exodus. And Gilland is clearly the Big Bad right now.

I was hoping the Kanbalar Castle takeover would be more fun than it ultimately was. Fighting on the airship was pretty weak, too. At least give us a boss battle with somebody! That said, Ivar is really, REALLY stupid and, in his desperation to prove himself better than Jude, he constantly fails and does the worst thing possible. He is being used. I'm surprised Milla hasn't fired his butt yet. She should tbqh. So much happening to the point that the game is becoming addictive - that's a very good thing!

Have not played anything else that isn't the five-minute timewasters on my phone.

I completed my 70,000 step goal without an issue! Yes, I rounded down two days and walked a little extra just to be sure. I need to maintain that until Daylight Wasting Time starts in November, at which point I'll be unable to due to colder weather, longer nights, and less energy overall.

Survivor: Finished the pre-merge of Heroes vs. Villains. As spectacular as I remembered. J.T. is such a tool, STILL thinking to this day that it wasn't a mistake. Uh, dude. You gave an idol to someone you didn't know who was labeled as a "Villain" solely based on an assumption for which you had virtually no evidence. It IS a stupid move! Even if it worked, it would have been considered ballsy and reckless. Geez. Sadly, it's all downhill starting with the episode after next.

The MacGuffin of Power was such a waste of a twist. And, honestly, I didn't like that cast all that much. The only ones I did were Alina, Marty, and Holly. I liked Brenda a LOT more in Caramoan until Day 39.

But really, what do I take away from that season? Not much good. I didn't expect anyone to rank Nicaragua so highly.

FYI, I rank seasons the same way Dalton Ross does: By the positives I look back upon. I don't agree with his rankings on everything, obviously, but I like the method he uses.

I only carry cash when I know I'm going to need some (haircuts, convention vendor rooms, farmer's markets, etc.) and I am 30 y/o so I can vouch for this. It shocks me when someone carries more than $40 in cash unless they're attending some event.

I don't think he needs to get to every person per se, but Jeff should allow at least 15 people per season to speak - with constraints for time and valuing the more relevant people. That said, in Ghost Island, Jacob and Morgan should have totally been asked questions (Morgan was still getting brought up at the FTC, so naturally) and, well, Stephanie Johnson was oddly not there (and that hurts her returnee chances), but she'd have gotten a question in a "traditional" reunion.

Sadly, I doubt we'll ever get another MvX-like reunion that addresses everything that needs to be in 30 minutes.

NO QUESTION: Brice, Lindsey, Alexis, Jeremiah, Jefra

Lindsey absolutely deserved to be ignored for quitting (she shouldn't have even been there), Jeremiah was the blandest person that season, and Brice was justifiable because he was gone early and isn't really remembered for anything he did on the show itself (as amazing as he is on RHAP). It's a shame Probst didn't get to Jefra, who could have been asked why she didn't make her Big Movez when she wanted to, or to Alexis even if it was to just ask her "Alexis, say you're there and Jeremiah isn't. Do you flip to LJ and Jefra at the merge?"

That said, there isn't much wrong with the Cagayan reunion, aside from it perhaps needing another 60 seconds to touch base with those two girls.

I played A Hat in Time before Odyssey and loved practically every second of it. Of course Odyssey had to compete with that - and it couldn't. At all.

Nanis has never understood this and it made me put him on my ignore list once before. I'm considering it again tbqh, given how he's again saying there's only one way to look at games and refusing to accept that other people have better opinions than he does.

You are correct, though: A Hat in Time is far superior to Odyssey, simply because it has the character that Odyssey lacks. Odyssey has a void where both Galaxy games had soul - it doesn't have the same love and care put into it. The world design in Odyssey is very inconsistent - while Metro and Seaside are phenomenal, there are far too many throwaways that primarily consist of moons just strewn about. Foolmo is correct in that there's virtually no fulfillment because the moons are so common. They're like the Notes in Banjo-Kazooie when they should be more like the Jiggies. Do you get excited every time you pick up a Note? No.

A Hat in Time, meanwhile, has a depth of character to it that most modern AAA games lack. It built its world with love and care - you can just tell that the developers had passion for the genre. They wanted to restore something that had been absent from platformers after Galaxy 1: Heart. They outright stated that was their mission. While the controls in Hat aren't as smooth as they are in Odyssey, the levels use them inventively. The boss fights in Hat are actually fun, which wasn't the case for many of Odyssey's. Hat was more about the environments, the character, and the love for the genre. Odyssey was more about artificial extension of the game's length, trying to make the game constantly fulfilling but doing it to the point where it's NEVER fulfilling, and trying to make more $$$ off a popular franchise. Odyssey is thus the weakest 3D Mario. Hat is my 2017 GOTY. And frankly, I don't feel like ranking the levels. All four of the major worlds are amazing for different reasons.

It's pretty clear to me now that Nanis simply hates games that have heart, probably because he doesn't have one. And given how he's outright saying Odyssey is better despite not having played it...

Zach claimed on Day 1 because there was a lynch train out for him. Once he did that, everyone backed off. Had there been a train on me, I'd have been like "calm down guys, I haz powers." It was to the benefit for town for Zach to claim once it became clear that, if we lost him Day 1, we'd lose the game right there and then.

Corrik had already claimed his role so I don't see why he resorted to the tactic he did. To me, it felt like he was trying to push me around because of my inexperience. And I don't see any reason why I should have claimed or why someone should have thought I should other than that they were scum. Corrik was the only person telling me to claim. Others outright said I didn't need to.

Sure, Town Corrik could do the same things. But I don't recall him badgering someone into claiming in the same manner in PW Mafia. I only recall him asking replacements to claim to see if they had their story straight. There's a reason right there.

Corrik wasn't the only person who seemed to have thought I was scum. And yet, he was the only one I was sure WAS scum of those individuals.

It wasn't just that he thought that. It was how he went about it. A Day 1 claim to the detriment of town like that? I had no reason to claim at that time. The fact that he wanted me to was to try and coerce me to make a newbie mistake. Instead, I became completely certain he was scum - because he wanted to see if his scumbuddies should kill me. Really, defeat and inexperience are all it was, and my emotional regulators weren't very controlled at the time. To be honest, it's the same way right now, so if there are sign-ups for a game in the next week, I'm going to have to pass until the next one.

Inexperience in that I don't even remember being in the fray before. My three games were that AIM game from a decade ago where I had no idea what the hell I'd just walked into (and don't even remember), that weird fusion game (Ethan, were you in that one?), and that one where I was killed night 1 (don't know where the board for that one is, but I believe my flavor character was "Period Pete"). I was very quiet in that last one. Mostly because of, again, inexperience.

So yeah, I'm not used to this style of game. I mean, I've played a lot of Survivor ORGs over the years (and won several) so it shouldn't be that hard. And emotional overreactions did happen at bad times then, too.

Basically, I should just not play anything when shit is going on in my life and I won't be able to keep my emotions in check.

If that is true, Chris is scum for leading the lynch train on Panthera for nothing, whoever for the lynch train on scare, and whoever for colzach.

I mean, half the game would be scum to you under that reasoning. However, you are only applying it to yourself because you are taking it personal. Any town could have done as much.

It all made sense in my head. It wasn't just the lynch train - it was everything before that. It just clicked for me. Other townies starting lynch trains on fellow town doesn't necessarily mean they are scum. Constantly suspicious behavior, on the other hand, adds up. Like I'd think someone was scum if they started lynch trains on two people that flipped town. You need to keep in mind that I thought you were scum since Day 1.

Also, I gotta add that I adore the character I got already and might play that game just for her

Actually you WERE clearly scum to me. I thought the fact that you started my lynch train because I refused to adhere to your same-time claim BS - when you'd already explained your role, no less - made it very clear what you were trying to do.

So I was right all along about how Corrik was using how bad he was at Mafia as a shield for his scummy behavior. How unfortunate that I modkilled myself only for nobody to recognize that I had been telling the truth the entire time. I thought it would get scum Corrik lynched - since it was quite obvious to me that he was scum given how he was pushing for my lynch - but that's my mistake. I clearly let my emotions control me. I chalk it up to inexperience and, yes, I agree with Dowolf that it was a stupid move. I am sorry.

As for the Minjo thing, it's mainly from playing through Banjo-Tooie four times. The poisoning thing was merely a theory that somehow turned out to be entirely accurate. I literally only had three games of Mafia experience before this and they really were everything I said they were. How I managed to get that on the money and how I managed to peg Corrik as obvious scum is beyond me.

As for my powers, everything I told you was 100% the truth. However, I left out one rather important detail...

You are Ninian, TOWN Dancer Jack. You have access to four different powers. You may only use each power one time, and only one during any given night. All actions only apply on the night they are used.

Basic Dance - Your target, if applicable, will be granted a second night action. Actions that only have 1 use will not be given a second use. This will have no effect if used on someone who does not have a night action.
Thor's Ire - If your target attempts to kill another target, their attack will strike critically and be unblockable.
Nini's Grace - Your target is protected from all "status effects" (IE: roleblock), but is not protected from being killed.
Set's Littany - Your target is protected from kills. This is a generic doctor save.

I for one lost interest in this when it became impossible to keep up with so I'm afraid I can't say anything that happened in the last few days...

Okay so I looked around. MWC seems to have gotten a usermap axe. His alts all got banned and his main is in purgatory, probably for a very long time once again. Only, unlike last time, he won't be making any alts.

No wonder there hasn't been much contention. MWC would have argued for days about this.
