There is unfortunately a distressing amount of young people who plan to vote RFK Jr. simply because "he's not Trump or Biden". Those who actually pay attention to his issues know he fits more with right-wingers and is why the Trump campaign has started to attack him, because they're worried as polls show he'd take more from Trump than Biden.

Oh, anecdotal here, but I met one.

Rather, a young (would estimate low-20s in age) dude who's doing a campaign to get signatures to get RFK Jr. on the ballot in Texas.

We had a chat.

Him: "We're doing this because we're in need of a viable third-party candidate."
Me: "I can agree with you on that point, though remember, one, the deck is stacked against any third parties in the first place, and two, the other major one is that RFK is not the guy to be on the ballot."

Proceeded to explain some of the nonsense RFK had said which the guy did concede to. I wasn't mean about it, just being informative enough.
Still might have deflated him a bit, though.

Now, the real question is, how often does this happen around the country?
One dude being filmed and getting canned isn't gonna stop it, lol.

You still misunderstood.

I didn't say they didn't use them. I said it was rare throughout the series, and up until the end of the first part of HNK (Raoh's arc), only those I had listed in an earlier post had USED such up until that final fight with Ken and Raoh.

HNK2 anime they became more frequent with the bad guys using such (demonstrated with Ken's first major opponent having a style that focuses on flinging plasma, and it just increased from there).

TC didn't seem to understand what I was trying to get across. -_-

Unless ki attack = anything that has a glowing aura, even if not fired off like a projectile (which, when shot off like well, a Kamehameha, usually is what people think of as a Ki attack).

Clearly, you forget that IS the anime movie that exaggerated a ton from the manga and old anime series.

Up until that point in the series, Ken, Juda, Toki and Raoh were the only ones that threw out any plasma (and Ken only did it twice, Toki only once as one hell of an intro).
And no one could actually fly. They just jump real good (a thing that a lot of Chinese Martial Arts films loved doing, even way back then).

Saint Seiya would have similar before Dragon Ball, just not quite as the level of DBZ.

Fist of the North Star? lol no, it has the usual flair of overpowerful mystical martial artists, but no one flew around and anyone that threw ki attacks were rare and introduced late into the series primarily as opponents of Kenshiro.

Fist of the North Star inspired quite a bit of media in its heyday.

Also, when the heck is the anime revival supposed to come out? Would be nice for it to finally do some cleaning up of the plot.

In the OG TAS series, telepaths were made to be quite underpowered.
The stuff Jean's able to do in '97 does a way better job showcasing what she's always been able to do.
Juggernaut got off easy in that episode's case from the TAS. Even she says it'll wear off (and upon his next appearance, Cain's back to his old antics).

That would actually be a pretty fun debate.
Because for Saiyans, you have to take out the obvious outliers like Vegeta to make things even.

I think that was due to Apocalypse's tech not his powers.

The tech Apocalypse has on is supposed to only augment his powers.
But the animated series never really touched upon that any, making it seem like what he has on is part of him.

Doubt Rogue trying to absorb his powers would work in the show, though....she's had issues in the past trying to drain from super powerful people and entities.

Black people in the US historically have never been swimmers, mainly due to obvious racism (being kept from pools and the like).

Most folks that are land-locked and legit don't live near easy public pool access don't bother because there's no real reason to.

And even those who do wade into water don't know how to actually swim...

My favorite story from a lifeguard I used to know was about a rescue in which he actually pulled a makeshift karate strike on the victim.

Story goes, when somebody is drowning, they forget how to swim properly (even if they knew how before) and just start trying to climb--the water, inflatable objects, unfortunate lifeguards and/or bystanders, etc. Well, one victim managed to grab hold of him as he was attempting a rescue and started trying to climb him, which of course pushed the lifeguard down under the water. We have Gyrich and Gambit absolutely 99% for realsies (that 1% being the margin of error inherent in every comic book death). 90% certain Bolivar Trask (unless he can be powered back up and even then, is life as a hidden Sentinel really being yourself).

And a very good chance that Sebastian Shaw, Dazzler, and Squidboy are dead from the Genosha attack based on Jean's psychic whatevers. Callisto also had a picture of her in memoriam so she's on the sliding scale towards deadness.
