Tony Khan's status for the Jacksonville Jaguars' 2024 NFL Draft obligations could be questionable.

Khan, the Jags' chief football strategy officer and the founder, owner and booker of All Elite Wrestling, took a punch to the gut and a "Meltzerdriver" piledriver Wednesday night live on AEW Dynamite from Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida.

Shad Khan, Tony's father and the owner of the Jaguars, took to the ring to check on his son in the aftermath of the drama.

It's all part of an angle (professional wrestling storyline), of course, but it was shocking nonetheless as Tony Khan has never been physically involved in AEW to that extent and his father's appearance added more realism to the stunning end of the show.

They got a headline on the NFL website about it. This is both incredible exposure for AEW and also high quality carny bullshit.

If Tony really wants to sell this angle and the piledriver the Bucks gave him, he should borrow Roderick Strong's neck brace and wear it to the NFL draft this weekend. Show the Khans in the Jaguars draft room and Tony is there, neck brace and all, occasionally wincing in pain to sell the damage from the attack.

Good, that confirms the only one that I couldn't find. While combing through the comments of the other threads, I found a comment where WafflehouseJK said Cthulhu had won Horror Characters, and he's the one who ran that contest, so I trust it. With those figured out, this should be the full list of other winners from past contests. I made some progress today, but didn't do any major story battles. First, I looked up where the Eviolite was and flew back to get it, which will be very useful in the future. Then I fought my way through routes 16-17 and the Ula'ula Meadow to reach Po Town, AKA Team Skull's home base. Next up is fighting through more Team Skull grunts and then another battle with Guzma, followed by battles against Gladion and then the next Island Kahuna.

Pizza Hut and Papa Johns are cheaper and more convenient than my local place while still being pretty tasty, plus I get a free pizza every once in a while from their rewards programs. The local place does taste better and I get it sometimes as a rare treat, but it's not so much better that it's worth the higher price and longer delivery times on a consistent basis.

The main point that is also killing the game is the large cast of characters. I have seen people admit they were too overwhelmed by the cast of playable and recruitable characters and think it is killing the game.

This is partly why Suikoden died out.

Is there any place online where it shows all of the characters so people can look at them and pick out which ones interest them the most? And how many characters do you generally take with you into a battle in this game? I'm just wondering. When I think of "RPG with dozens of possible characters to use but you generally only use a small party of them" my first thoughts are Pokemon and Fire Emblem. Is it as extreme as Pokemon where you have to narrow down that big roster to a really small number like 6, or is it more forgiving like Fire Emblem where you can use like 12-15 or so?

Apparently this game is dropping into Xbox Game Pass on day 1, so I'll definitely try it out at some point in the near future.

Didn't get to play the past couple of days, but I played some today. I had multiple battles where random NPC trainers (like a trainer on route 14 with a Whiscash and a Honchkrow and one on route 15 with an Alolan Marowak) are wiping half of my team and forcing me to go back to heal. Things are getting rough. Anyways, I managed to make it through routes 14-15 to Acerola's trial and the battle against Totem Mimikyu. My gameplan against this thing was to lower Mimikyu's speed and break its disguise with my other Pokemon so my Gastly could then come in and finish it off with a super-effective, Choice Specs boosted (yes some guy gave me a Choice Specs earlier in the game), STAB Shadow Ball.

For the first attempt, I led with Magnemite, hoping to have it survive a hit and paralyze Mimikyu with Thunder Wave. Sadly, Mimikyu was holding a Lum Berry to heal a status and then Magnemite got KO'd before it could get a second Thunder Wave off. So I reset and readjusted my strategy for the second attempt. This time, I decided to have Mudbray and Popplio try to lower Mimikyu's speed stat (with Bulldoze and Icy Wind respectively) instead of doing it with paralysis. By the time Mudbray and Popplio both went down, their attacks had gotten Mimikyu to -4 speed and also KO'd the SOS-called Banette, so then I sent out Gastly to clean things up and it had enough power to get the job done. Also, I feel stupid typing this now, but I was so focused on the Ghost typing (because this was the Ghost trial) that it totally slipped my mind until after the battle was over that Mimikyu is also part Fairy, meaning Magnemite's Flash Cannon would have also been super-effective against it.

Oh well, whatever. Another Totem Pokemon down, another trial complete!

For most of the decks I was running the Diabellstar engine in, I was running 3 Wanted and 1 Diabellstar, so I'll probably swap it to 2 and 2 now. The only deck I was running 3 and 3 in was Rescue-Ace, but it'll probably be fine with 3 and 2.

I just want to take this opportunity to say fuck Kashtira. Or more specifically, fuck Kashtira Fenrir and Kashtira Unicorn in particular for how generically splashable they are. I just played five straight duels where my opponent opened either Fenrir or Unicorn and summoned it for free before their combo for extra protection. I was playing Zoodiacs, on the Xyz side of the event, so all of my opponents were on the Fusion or Synchro side and they were obviously not playing Kashtira decks. And yet, they were all splashing Fenrir and Unicorn in their decks because those two cards are just so absolutely busted individually. Kashtira was a mistake, and both Fenrir and Unicorn deserve to be banned.

New Mystery of the Emblem already got a remake on the DS, but they kept it Japan-only because Shadow Dragon failed so badly. I do agree that the other Japan-only games like Genealogy and Thracia need remakes before any of the games that actually got a western release.

If the birth isn't successful, then the lawmakers behind the draconian anti-abortion laws in these states could see that "miscarriage" and charge the mother and the doctors with murder of the unborn child. So many doctors in these states are scared to even help a pregnant woman because they might end up as "murderers" in the eyes of the law and be sent to prison even if they did nothing wrong.

Oh god no, Engage ch22 is straight up ass on higher difficulties, legitimately one of the worst maps in the franchise. Just a big brawl routing Engage late game enemies and nearly all the actually useful Emblems are on the back half of the map, and you have to rout while dealing with reinforcements.

I'm going to disagree and say that I liked that chapter. The whole "just a big brawl" aspect with the simplicity of little to no emblem ring usage after being accustomed to them for so long felt like a challenge, but not an extremely annoying one IMO. Plus, it helps really sell the desperate situation your characters are in at that point in the story, hence why I praised it under the context of gameplay and story integration. Then again, I've never played the game on Maddening (Hard is more than enough for me) so maybe it really is that bad and unbalanced on the highest difficulty and I just don't know it.

Engage is my third favorite FE game. Love it to death.

The story is weak imo. Its not Fates level, but it couldve been better. Its not terriblejust very simple. Barebones just about.

Gameplay though? One of the best.

I agree with this. Engage is my #3 as well and it's almost entirely for the incredible gameplay. I will say though, Engage has a few moments where the integration of gameplay and story together (in particular, chapter 11's desperate escape sequence and chapter 22 when you need to retrieve and purify all of the rings) really shines and makes the gameplay even better.

I did decide to stick with Crabrawler for my Fighting-type instead of swapping to Pancham, so my current team is most likely my final team unless I decide to add Poipole later on. I figured that Crabrawler's higher speed and access to Power-Up Punch would be more useful. If Pancham were actually Fighting/Dark type and didn't only get the secondary Dark type upon evolution, then I probably would have made the switch, but oh well. As for the playthrough...

First, I flew back to Heahea City to buy the TMs for Reflect and Light Screen and taught them both to Cutiefly. Magnemite can learn them too, but Cutiefly is faster. Then I did some training by defeating every trainer on Route 10 and the Malie Cape before taking the bus to Mt. Hokulani to take on Sophocles's island trial. Mudbray's bulk and the Totem Togedemaru being 4x weak to Ground moves let it bring the Totem Pokemon down to pretty low health, but Iron Head flinches got the better of Mudbray in the end. Over half my team was fainted when I finally managed to actually finish off the annoying hedgehog and eventually the SOS-called Skarmory alongside it, but I did win the battle on my first try.

After that, I went back to Malie Garden for my first battle with Guzma. Again, I won on my first try, but again, the battle ended with over half of my team fainted. The fact that it took 5 of my Pokemon to defeat his 2 is a bit concerning. Finally, I made my way across routes 11-13, making sure to defeat every single trainer along the way. It's clear that I'll need levels to make up for the stat difference between my unevolved Pokemon and the evolved Pokemon that I'll be facing in the late game. I don't want to go too far out of my way to overgrind if I don't have to, but at the very least, I'll probably face every trainer I see on the main path for the rest of the playthrough. Up next is routes 14-15 and Acerola's island trial.

why is master duel different from ban lists for tcg

There are quite a few reasons:

1) It started off more based on the OCG side than the TCG side, but has now diverged so much from both that it's basically it's own format.
2) They have the hindsight of seeing how the IRL formats went because Master Duel is months behind in card releases, so they sometimes pre-hit cards they know will be problematic. Example: they pre-banned Toadally Awesome before Sprights could abuse the shit out of it.
3) Master Duel is a best-of-1 format with no side-decking, so some cards and decks may be less or more of an issue than in the IRL best-of-3 format that has side-decking. Example: Red Reboot is insane in best-of-3 when you know you can just side it in whenever you run into a Labrynth player, but if you need to main-deck it and risk it being a dead card against most other matchups, suddenly it's not so good of an option.
4) They really want to avoid hitting UR cards (and to an extent SR cards) as much as possible and giving players precious dust as a refund, so they'll often hit low-rarity cards from the same archetype instead, which might be different that the IRL hits a deck got. Example: Tearlaments still have Kitkallos (SR) in Master Duel because they banned Merrli (N) instead.
5) Sometimes Master Duel is used to experiment with unhits that they're considering for the IRL formats. Example: Master Duel was the first format to unban all of the Dragon Rulers, and they've been totally fine, so now the IRL formats are bringing them back too.

Yeah, pretty much. It's a setup similar to Branded's Gimmick Lock, where you give your opponent a monster that locks them out of special summoning. However, it only applies while Acid Golem is face-up on the field, so it's not a lingering effect for the whole turn like with Gimmick Puppet Nightmare and therefore it's a bit easier to get rid of. Acid Golem's 3000 ATK is also more of a threat if left unchecked, but considering that one of the prominent decks that uses the Acid Golem Lock is Mikanko (once Gen/Ken come out) the higher ATK also benefits the Mikanko player too.

I decided to go with blind 2nd "Zeus Turbo" Zoodiac, with tons of handtraps and boardbreakers. So far I've only done 2 duels with it, but I won them both.

Sounds like a really tough time with Hau. What kind of a level difference did you have?

My team was all at level 31 or 32 at the point Alolan Raichu came out (some of them were at 30 coming into the battle and leveled up to 31 during it) and his Alolan Raichu was level 29. So I was actually slightly overleveled and still had that tough of a time with it. I might need to do more training on random trainers and wild Pokemon, but I don't want to grind too much.

I don't have Reflect, so I'll have to look up where you get the TM for it. I did use Light Screen, but in hindsight, it wasn't actually necessary because Mudbray would have survived a non-crit Psychic from full health even without it. I do think these two moves will be useful in some future battles though.

Welp, I just got a hard reality check in the form of Hau's Alolan Raichu. There's a rival battle in Malie City, and his Alolan Raichu absolutely decimated my team the first time I battled him. When I finally took it down, all I had left was my Cutiefly on low health, but he still had a Tauros in the back which finished me off. This rival battle doesn't actually require you to win, and the story progresses even if you lose, but I still decided to try to get a win.

I figured with better play and better luck, I could beat him. For that to happen, I needed to get enough good luck (AKA not getting flinched with Bite) to KO his lead Torracat with only Popplio, meaning Mudbray would be at full health for Alolan Raichu. After that, Cutiefly easily KO's his Leafeon and Noibat before he sends out the Alolan Raichu. Then, I would send out Magnemite against Alolan Raichu, set up Light Screen, and chip away with Flash Cannon until Alolan Raichu KO's it. Finally, Mudbray would survive a Psychic and KO Alolan Raichu with High Horsepower. On my fourth attempt at the battle, I finally got the luck needed to reach Alolan Raichu with Mudbray at full health, got the whole setup done... and then Mudbray missed with High Horsepower. Thankfully, it actually took so little damage from Psychic due to Light Screen that it could survive a second one and have another chance to hit with High Horsepower... and then Alolan Raichu got a critical hit with its next Psychic and knocked out Mudbray.

After that awful luck, I was pissed off and probably should have just given up and moved on, but I tried a couple more times. On attempt #7, I eventually got the luck and setup I needed to make it back to Alolan Raichu, and this time I played it safe and had Mudbray use the weaker but 100% accurate Bulldoze instead of the stronger but 95% accurate High Horsepower, and thank god it still got the KO. After that, Mudbray stayed in and took down Hau's Tauros with 3 Low Sweeps thanks to Stamina defense boosts letting it tank Tauros's attacks, and I finally won this annoying rival battle.

But this was a real wake-up call about the challenges of facing fully evolved Pokemon with a team of unevolved Pokemon. I was planning on doing more today than just this battle, but it was annoying enough that I don't feel like playing anymore. Next up is route 10, Mt. Hokulani, and Sophocles's island trial.

The Cardinals got the win for Whitey as I hoped, and the Marlins also won earlier too. So yay.

I know this post has nothing to do with the topic at hand but after seeing your rules I wonder what's the best Pokemon under your rules. I wanna say Scyther but maybe there's better ones out there

It would most likely be a Pokemon that was originally created as a standalone Pokemon (with a base stat total befitting one) but then got an evolution in a future generation without also getting a baby form that would technically make itself count as an evolved Pokemon. Scyther, Misdreavus, Gligar, and Sneasel are the standouts that immediately come to mind. Scyther has the best base stat total, but the others have better typings, wider movepools, and other unique options to make up for the 70 or so stat points that Scyther has on them, so it's hard to say which is the best.

That being said, I purposely avoided using such Pokemon in this playthrough because I really wanted to challenge myself. I only wanted to use Pokemon that were truly unevolved Pokemon and were originally designed as such from the very beginning. I ran into a wild Murkrow early on and could have used it because it evolves into Honchkrow, but I chose not to.

EDIT: A late honorable mention to Type:Null, who would undoubtedly be the best unevolved Pokemon for a playthrough like this... if there was any Pokemon game where it could be obtained before the postgame, which there currently is not.

I know you'll be bringing back Zorua for Ultra Necrozma, but is your team from post #17 going to be your final team? Or do you have any planned replacements?

The only other changes I've considered are replacing Crabrawler with Pancham and possibly adding Poipole much later on. I have plenty of time to think about Poipole (it won't come until after I beat Ultra Necrozma) but Pancham is coming up on the very next route, so I need to decide between the two Fighting-types soon. I'll think about it tonight before I play tomorrow, but if anyone else has any input on the Crabrawler vs. Pancham decision, feel free to chime in.

The girls are making homemade sausages, and Aki notices that her sausage maker thingy looks like a gun. She points it at one of the girls and says "bang", and the girl plays along and pretends to get shot. Then she "shoots" the other two girls, and they play along and pretend to get shot too. Then she turns around to the dog and "shoots" it, it plays dead in a really dramatic way, and she's really impressed that the dog's owner taught it how to do that.

Olivia turned out to be easy. Crabrawler swept her with two Power-Up punches on Anorith and a +2 Brick Break on both Lileep and Lycanroc. Crabrawler was low enough on HP from Anorith that Lycanroc could have probably KO'd if it had used its Z-move (even if it would be not very effective) but it went for Bite instead for some reason. Oh well, a win's a win. After that, I took care of some story stuff at the Aether Paradise (including taking down an Ultra Beast and meeting a 40-year-old MILF) and now I'm officially on the third island to continue my adventure.

Also, something I forgot to mention before: At the beginning of the game, I did hack in a bunch of Everstones to put on my Pokemon so that I wouldn't constantly be asked to evolve them upon every level-up. They'll be holding these for most of the game, but for important battles (like island/grand trials) I might give them other held items. This is the only modification I've made in this save file, everything else is completely normal.

At the end of its life over 2000 people had avatars and even more were using certain other features of the extension such as rotating signatures and quick account switching.

Rotating signatures was so fun. A shame that GameFAQs killed it when they updated the way the site handles signatures.
