I've only seen the first season of Index, and despite hating Index herself, I thought it was really good. Touma is a very interesting character, and he has some of my most hype moments in anime, despite essentially being powerless.

I find him very interesting from a character perspective with his memory loss - post memory wipe Touma is actually a somewhat different character from pre memory wipe, he's just trying his best to keep it together. The TOUMA PUNCH on Accelerator and his bluffing takedown of that alchemist that could rewrite reality based on his perceptions were incredible

I came around on episode 2 big time too. Rick was just mostly a bit to aggraviting in the first episode.

But it's mostly from the Scary Terry inception bits. I wasn't too crazy about the Dog storyline, except the very beginning when Rick says "I thought the whole point of a dog was to feel superior, Jerry. If I were you I wouldn't pull that thread."

I love when Rick makes casual comments like that which show how he clearly sees exactly where the situation is going, but barely gives a fuck. I find a lot of times when there's a "really smart character" in something, he's often not actually written to be as intelligent as the creator wants us to think he is, at least most of the time. But Rick is 100% believable as a complete genius, despite the fact that he's an asshole drunk who doesn't care about anything.

So, I played a Wild Quest Priest mirror match today. It was pretty batshit.



We each played Reno and two Amara, and I got two Kazakus plays in. I played Elise four times, and when I was down to five cards, four of which were those Un'Goro packs that were taunting me, he played Thoughtsteal. We created eight packs during the game, and every single one of them was eventually played. I think we were at 12 and 13 fatigue damage when I finally lost, mainly due to not having Raza/Justicar and losing ground at the end.

The only bad part of the game was that he wouldn't accept my friend request.

Games like this are what I live for. Easily why priest is my favourite class. It's so good at taking your opponents cards and using it against them. I have a thief priest deck specially made that I try to take screenshots of at the end. The crazy board states I get are often hilarious - full Anyfin Murloc, a buffed as hell Cthun, an Nzoth with a full deathrattle board, pirates, eggs, snowchuggers, Jaraxxus. It's always so satisfying to pull off an opponents win condition. Priest matches somehow always end up the weirdest for me but your match sounds especially awesome.

How did the other priest manage to get Justicar a priest mirror?

It seems like you are really triggered by this. Azuarc was honestly pretty friendly and conversational in his posts, but you chose to fly off the goddamn handle and ream him out. Azuarc certainly didn't deserve that. Even in his most recent final post where he kind of shot back... he did it in a pretty polite manner, and then felt bad enough about it to delete the post.

If anyone is being a bully or an asshole here Maria, it's you. Azuarc legitimately deserves an apology from you.


I doubt it will happen though. You have this very weird narrative in your head. You believe Ulti is legitimately a victim. That he's the punching bag that I bully, or maybe even the entire topic bullies, and for no good reason. And now that bullying extends to you! You, who has done nothing wrong! How horrible for you to be treated so badly.

My "half assed" apology wasn't actually an apology. I wasn't apologizing for what I did, because I never did anything wrong. The tone of my posts wasn't as friendly as azuarc, but i wasn't being mean or bullying either. The only thing I thought was unfortunate was that you have this weird narrative going on in your head that's so divorced from reality.

Quite frankly, this is all complete bullshit.

I didn't bully you or anyone. You made a claim about *extremely* bad luck, and azuarc said he didn't believe it. you responded in an extremely hostile manner.

I came in and said I don't find it believable either. I equated it to Ulti's behaviour, because it is just like Ulti's behaviour.

Here's what Ulti has done constantly in these topics - he plays some Hearthstone, has some completely normal games, and then comes here and rails about how absolutely RNG screwed he always is - how he can't even play a lot of decks because he "can't draw a proper curve with his luck". Yet, in every instance of him actually posting a replay, everyone present watches the game and says "No Ulti, you weren't RNG screwed. You just made bad decisions at several key moments in the game"

Complaining about luck is something everyone does at times when they get frustrated with a game that has any semblance of luck. But does that actually mean luck is an issue? Often, no. It's just that players focus on the moments that they were unlucky and attribute that as their primary experience. "the good times" are often forgotten, and the player focuses just on those negative experiences that stand out.

Ulti takes this to the ultra next level and just can't help himself and assumes that he's always unlucky in every aspect he can possibly be unlucky in. Obviously this isn't really the case. He's not abnormally unlucky compared to every other player in the game. it's just his own extremely skewed perception of what's happening to him.


So let's go back to your situation. You said you have played "at least a few dozen runs, but probably less than 100". This implies somewhere between 30 and 70 games, which is quite a bit of a range, but still a fairly big group of games even at the low end.

Before the buff to rare cards recently, the chance to get a legendary in an Arena run was 22%, or about 1/5 (a bit worse than in azuarc's math). But the chances of not getting a legendary after 36 runs is well below 1%.

Now, when you take a very large group of players like on a subreddit, it's actually possible that there is a guy who managed to find the odds and never get that legendary *and* tracked the stats to know for sure that it happened. When there's thousands of players, yeah somebody might have gotten fucked.

But in a topic with like 10 people posting, where people love to exaggerate obscenely about how bad the RNG has treated them, what's more likely?

That you *actually* are the 0.03% who never got a legendary after 36 runs? Do you believe you are really that special? Or maybe you just don't remember the runs where you got Tinkmaster Overspark or The Beast or some crap?

I mean it's pretty clear - if you've played as many runs as you say you have, then you've gotten legendaries before and either it wasn't memorable enough or just long ago enough that you don't remember. Either way - I'm completely comfortable straight up stating that it didn't happen the way you remember it happening.

This is my first time watching BBCAN, so I dunno. I started watching with BB17 which I LOVED. BB18 was okay. I like this season better than 18 but not nearly as much as 17.


There have been a few really big moments, but mostly this season has just been about a few actually good players completely rolling a house full of terrible players.

It's just the internet's age of brainwashing a normal thought to a feigned belief that its 'actually is something more'. The internet is great at shaming people into something they are not then claiming truths. I benched the purify priest this last week because of a big losing streak I was on, but I just tried it again and went on like an 8 game winning streak. Rank 5 was within sight. Then I ran into this shaman I'd never seen before that devolved my board, played a doomsayer, gave it ancestral spirit, and protected it with a shieldbearer. I had to led it go off. It came back, and he put spirit echo on it and some other annoying shit.

what was the reaction to this movie? it seems like it bombed both critically and financially, so I had pretty low expectations and expected it to just be quick shallow introduction and then a CGI fuckfest like the Transformers movies

despite a rocky start i grew to enjoy watching these screwed up teenagers figure themselves out though. i thought it was okay.

it was like 90% about them with a bit of power rangers stuff thrown in at the end for a climax. it was more like Chronicle than Transformers, though far less dark.

Yeah Elemental Shaman must be on the edge of tier2/3. Not quite sure how they determine the split.

Basically every class is pretty good and many have multiple different successful archetypes so far. Some of these might get pushed out as things get more focused but things look really good.


Tier 1 is dominated by Warrior and Rogue... but each have two very different decks which is nice. It's not like we are sitting there with Aggro and Midrange Shaman which weren't even that different.
