Apparently the last ep is good. So either stop there if you want a good ending with Shinji *or* resolve to buy/watch ep 3 and 4 at the same time. The only really bad one was the second film. The third film is straight up good overall the fourth was actually a very effective horror film if viewed that way and the fifth is fun if viewed as a farce. The whole cast seemed to lean into it the expression on the dads face when hes listening to his daughters obvious lies is hilarious. Near the end, he intercepts some intel and he just starts laughing at how stupid everyone else is and hes not wrong.
