I actually listen to plenty of rap. Mostly the 90s stuff before it got flooded with dumb as hell rappers. And naw... a lot of those guys are totally involved in that lifestyle. That's why a bunch get killed and have extensive records

What happens is guys trying to get street cred start hanging out with real gangtas, and are not quite ready for when gangsta shit actually starts going down. Biggie and Tupac basically ended up dead for talking big games (as well as Puff Daddy running his mouth) and ACTUAL gangstas taking it seriously.

First, SMW was the iconic early 90s platformer and solidified a genre that everyone was trying to "cash in" on.
Second, FF7 is infinitely more synonymous with 90s JRPGs than Pokemon. I don't think that people at the time even realized Pokemon RBY were JRPGs.

A lot of wrong in one post, but okay. And writing Pokemon RB off as just a jrpg is about as stupid of a claim as you make.

If you're trying to claim it was a 3D platformer, it really wasn't. SM64 helped to usher in 3D platformers and was often used as the measuring stick for them.

Then preface things better? Don't complain when you're called out over it and then just ignore anybody who criticizes you... which I note despite being ignored for criticizing him. So let it be a note to everybody else.

Yeah, SMB3 (released in NA in 1990) definitely is a bigger consideration than SMW.

I love SMB 3, but it DID release in Japan in '88 so it was kind of the swan song for that era, while SMW kicked off the next one. That's just for me personally, since when I think 90s, I think SNES more than NES.

Swap out MGS 3 for either GTA III or Vice City in my list. Too much shit to choose from!

In the case of Papa John, he said the n-word during a board meeting, not just some casual remark on twitter. And had a long history of causing PR headaches for PJ's pizza. I still remember several years ago when he whined that he'd have to jack up the price of a large pizza 14 whole cents if he were to provide healthcare to his employees. That went over well!
He was also the "face" of the company, featured in many of their commercials. In comparison...I had no idea who the fuck James Gunn was until he got fired and it became news, and I watch tons of Marvel movies.

Maybe John didn't deserve to be fired either, but given his repeated history of pissing off PJ's customers with his statements, his firing is one of the most understandable one of these cases and a poor counter-example.

He didn't lose his scholarship for being a conservative, he lost it for using a homophobic slur, on camera.

Growing up in San Diego, I used to hit up Comic Con every year. Somewhere along the way, it lost that feeling I got before and wasn't much fun anymore. Last time I went was 2013. Used to volunteer to get in for free, that was kinda cool.

Have fun. The wife and I plan to go back once Star Wars land opens.

Probably Metroid Prime, Wind Waker and Eternal Darkness. Resident Evil 4 would have been up there but it got a PS2 port, and I decided to go with exclusives only.

Alice for me. It wasn't that well received at the time, but I love the style.

California Adventures and Disneyland would probably each take a day to enjoy on their own. I believe there is also a phone app that plans out your Disneyland experience

California Adventure is more of a half day park.

Knotts and Six Flags. I love Disneyland and Universal (I literally did that for my honeymoon last year), but I've never been to Knotts and Six Flags, so, would wanna try something new.

Hercules is fun... but TLM started the 2nd Golden Era of Disney.

To each their own I suppose.... I enjoyed New Vegas more because of the setting. It had a post apocalyptic western vibe to it, and I liked that civilization seemed to be on the upswing in the area. It wasn't just people squatting in shanty towns and stuff.

I believe it was restricted to full feature film theatrical releases.

Alice in Wonderland is lowkey one if my favorite Disney movies. The animation and settings are really interesting to me.

No. It does have references to the SNES one early on, but it's a loose sequel to the games in a way.

Well, they wanted to call it Fighting Fantasy but changed the name due to possible copyright issues.

So even the titanic Squareenix, at one time, had to felate the copyright giant.

Fun fact: I picked up a Fighting Fantasy book on a whim at some second hand store when I was like 9. It kind of was a gateway to table top RPGs for me.

actually the main reason 2 wasn't originally released was cause nintendo of america thought it looked too similar to the original game. the graphics were the same. at the time, NoA wanted sequels to look drastically different from previous games to show progress. and look "better"

Makes sense. Partially why we got Doki Doki Panic reskinned as a Mario game instead of the original SMB2

I voted None of the Above because of Ogre Battle 64. I also laughed at anyone who voted Goldeneye or Perfect Dark. Those games are absolute shit now. Smash 64 is pretty bad now too, but you couldnt pay me enough to suffer through Goldeneye or PD.

They could have voted for them because it was their favorite at the time. Compared to shooters NOW, yeah, Goldeneye sucks, but I have a lot of good memories playing multiplayer with friends on it back in the day.

I read "The Lost World" cover to cover, non stop when I got it. Saw the move and was like "What the fuck is all this nonsense?"

I've noticed with "A Goofy Movie" people seem to either LOVE it or HATE it, no in between. It's a much more "personal" movie than a lot, which are sweeping epics and fairytales.. then you have Goofy and Max on a father/son road trip.

I loved "A Goofy Movie" back in the day, and "Zootopia" is my favorite recent one... really tough call, but I let nostalgia take the wheel.

Are there even any Kingdom Hearts games that are worth playing other than Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2? Because every impression I've gotten from the other games is that they're meaningless filler that aren't related in any way to anything important and are only "Kingdom Hearts" because the human characters are in the same style as Sora. :P

That's been the Elder Scrolls theme since Morrowind, just with a different twist each game. If anything it sounded more like the Oblivion version.

Shining Force I and II are great. Never liked Shining in the Darkness much though.
