Got a UK account on my backup 3DS since NZ didn't get certain titles. Decided to grab Pokemon Crystal on it before the 3DS eShop shutdown in case I want to do trade evolutions with my main system, but it seems the Nintendo site doesn't accept out of region payment like the 3DS itself did in the past. Just looking for a cheap gift card, don't want to buy the 25+ gift cards on the site I did find.

Finally picked up Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl, going to be watching that tomorrow.

Sorry. Just feel it best people know a feature mentioned isn't official, wouldn't want someone getting a PS3 for it. I'm not 100% certain, but don't think all PS3 models can do the relevant hack in the first place either, I think that feature might need permanent CFW.

Hacked PS3 then. That isn't a feature included on regular firmware. Mystery solved. :)

No clue, it is not something it should support. Even hacked IIRC will just install a PS2 disc and treat it like a PS2 Classic. The chip was only in certain early PS3 models, and PAL was even worse with a buggy software method you couldn't keep if you wanted to upgrade the hard drive (and no, the PAL software method was not included in later models in other countries either).

Don't suppose you can show video proof? Because right now, this is a case of something impossible to do with the hardware you say you have.

My fat PS2 lasted for close to 20 years before the power supply died, and currently got a still working replacement. But generally the lasers in the later slim models are more reliable because later produced hardware, and probably easier to clean which solved my own issues in the past. Getting to them in the original model is a bit harder, and I know replacing the laser requires slim fingers or lots of luck.

The first game was my favourite for multiplayer, mostly because of the Planet X multiplayer map that was exclusive to the original. Both a large open area and numerous corridors to get lost in, it was fun to play with friends. The map was large enough to cause the system to lag when crowded though.

Theres people that have money tied up in the eShop and they should probably know theyre close to losing it if they dont spend it.

The money remains on Switch, just no more spending it on the older eShop apps.

WiiU as well if you still want anything exclusive there
