I reason the fact that I only posted once before thus should be granted an opportunity to respond. The board is slow moving and the discussion moved towards the end (oldest) of my post history. Actual disruption would be multiple thread bumps and/or unrelated discussion. This website systematically closes/deletes topics if no one posts so mod interference is unnecessary.

I shower twice daily for more than two and a half decades now. I refuse to go to work/etc nor get into bed at the end of the day without being clean.

It depends if i get sweaty or not. So yes, in winter i shower about once a week. But in summers i have to shower daily.

Yeah, I live in TN, but our sex ed was great for the area. They barely mentioned abstinence, and just made sex jokes, and talked about STDs and condoms.

That was in 2000. I went back to college almost ten years ago, and talking to the students who went to the same high school, and it apparently turned into focusing almost entirely on abstinence. Sad to hear.

This and they did teach us in school. My high health course was good compared to a lot of places. Actually taught us about different contraception methods.

Common Core is a standards for content being taught in schools as well as how it is being taught. In many ways the entire system is designed around a lack of critical thinking with many of the choices being made for how to do things largely being dependent exclusively on the exact method of doing things rather than why the method is being done. Thus if you want to learn how the world actually works (in any vocation) you have to go with privatized schooling, furthering the disconnect between the haves and have nots as a function of society. Hence why more than half of the US has seen extreme dips in the funding given to public schools since common core has become a thing: public school is becoming increasingly a thing for "the poors" as a way to get training for whatever menial factory work is necessary.

Because Capitalism. Art, philosophy, music, theatre, etc. have no room in Capitalism. Common Core grinds everything that isn't STEM out of you
