2 is totally underselling him. He's definitely one of the best stealth characters we had in Mercs imo (time magic as a 2 would be broken)

Doesn't Jensen no-sell that? I thought he had some kind of infrared/anti-stealth aug.

In general I feel like stealth is often disrepected - see Snake, M3 Altair, M3 Red Spy. At minimum it's very situational since you need a favorable terrain and team situation.

Homura Akemi: More reference will be needed. If this is a Goku style situation then I have to lean no. Having a costume doesn't inherently make you a superhero if that's the biggest difference.

It's not just the costume, it's the whole dual identity thing. By day, they are seemingly ordinary schoolgirls. By night, they costume up and fight witches (supervillains) for the sake of the world. That's basically what a magical girl contract entails: by becoming a magical girl, you accept the responsibility of fighting witches to protect the innocent/unknowing citizenry.

There is somewhat more to it (I don't want to go into spoilers) but basically, it's not a Goku situation where they're just looking for fun fights. They accept a secret identity and powers to be used for protecting the people.

Bot hosting is cool because it makes things easier for the host (auto-posted topics, auto-updates and time checking). You could set it up to post at the same time every day, or even randomize it within a certain time range.

The problem is if there needs to be a RULING mid-round, like the time XIII rallied a bunch of people from CE. A real host can just be like "yeah, those don't count" but the bot will count it all and maybe the whole round has to be thrown out later.

Homura doesn't really seem like a superhero to me. Counting magical girls as superheroes is a bit of a stretch to begin with, but Madoka Magica in particular lacks most of the things that the two genres often have in common; the girls don't fight crime or supervillains, and they don't have any in-universe fame as heroes. On top of that, Homura's not really a "hero" at all. She doesn't care about doing good or anything other than saving Madoka.

tbh it never occurred to me that magical girls weren't superheroes - they're costumed fighters with supernatural powers

For Madoka in particular, the magical girls fight to keep the world safe from witches (the world's supervillains), and Homura's motivation (wanting to save someone she cares about) is also entirely heroic.

I never really thought of the TMNT as superheroes, though I guess they do fight crime and stuff.

hmm

actually I think I know why - the moth is only compatible with Punch (and it's rare for it to be that compatible with a human). but Punch is compatible with Owen/Tristan/other humans. Punch is the only way it can spread.

BUT I think we gotta prioritize short-term survival in the short term. if anything happens to Punch, we don't want to be screwed against any future mushroom guys.

I'm inclined to trust the moth because, if it wanted, it probably could've just killed Punch/Tristan/Owen on the spot. Punch was incapacitated, Owen isn't much, I don't think Tristan could 1v1 the moth.

Alternately the power is bad news BUT not as bad as the mushroom dudes trying to possess us right now.
