No seasons 7 and 8 were rock bottom for the show. They spent the next several seasons slowly crawling out of that hole. By season 11, they lean into their meta cheese a little more and just having fun with it which seems to be a complaint of yours. Like in one episode, Dean kills Hitler. Reading that sounds insanely stupid but it's funny cause he spends the next couple episodes annoying bragging to Sam being like "Hey. Remember the other week when I killed Hitler? "

There's also the episode where Dean and Sam swap spots with their actual actors.

There's been an ongoing trend in anti-porn circles to blame porn for the rise in LGBT people.

It's pretty bare-faced.

They're going after pornography and whatnot while in the same breath claiming a connection between it and the LGBTQIA+ population.

That way, they have soundbites and foundational work done for when they decide to criminalize sexuality/gender minorities for moral corruption.
