I mean, from what I have watched/learned about C++ it seems okay. Obviously nothing is really easy about learning something completely new. I would rather start with this and then work around that until I grasp this completely.

Now, I don't want to sit for hours and research, but what is the basic difference between regular C, C#, and C++. Is there even a regular C+? It's a bit on the confusing side and looking it up doesn't really help me when I know nothing.

I've been watching these C++ for dummies type videos on YouTube and it looks really interesting and I've always wanted to learn some kind of programming language.

I just wanted to see what kind of opinions are floating around on here about it?

I was browsing around the internets and came across this. I'm a fan of MMORPGs but I never played Diablo 2 or WoW. I've played a bit of Champions Online and would've kept playing that had people joined me.

But apparently this is still a popular one? Anyone here play it? Like it? Not worth it?

Well yea Sam B and RM2 are funny. But the purpose of this show is to find the "next big act" so to speak.

Putting them through and giving them the actual hope that they might win is just terrible. The judges shouldve told them "you guys definitely wont win, but we will put you through because youre f****** hilarious."

I was shocked Leonid didnt make it. It's not like he was a one trick pony like samb. He had variety, he did acrobatics, dancing, quick change, and drag. Pretty much able to hold his own show in vegas. But for some reason they kick him out every time.

Ricky Martin guy and Sam B, two stupid acts made it through. More so that Sam B got though, he is a fat guy that dances. Why on earth would he worth 1,000,000 and a vegas show? At least RIcky Martin guy could sing and dance and have some more swagger than the other guy.

Lil T was a waste of space in the first place. Hooray another crushed child's dream because for some reason his mother didnt try to save him the humiliation.

If the kid, on his own, wanted to be on AGT, then his mother should've said "maybe when your older, blah blah make up an excuse because no way in hell is he going to make it to the end."

And if his mother said "I'm going to milk my sons cuteness while running the risk that his dreams of dancing might get shot down" then she needs to be pimp slapped.

Thats pretty much how I feel about any child solo act. (I feel a little different about child involved in dance coups or other shows).

Im glad black liberace guy got threw, hes vegas potential.

Im glad more magicians got put through.

Im trying to do the error checking, but when I check the boxes for "fix file system errors" and "scan for and attempt recorvery of bad sectors" and click ok it just sits there and disappears after a few seconds.


I'm really trying not to sound computer ignorant/illiterate. But augh my electronics never work.

Could also possibly be a problem with the usb cable connecting your external harddrive to what you're running it on. I doubt it though since I don't think it'd give you an I/O error there.

I heard that could be an issue, but I use the same cable to hook it up to my xbox and that shows no issues.

Well I guess it was too good to be true. In the middle of my backup, it popped up saying there was an error transferring.

Went to play the file and another error popped up. Gonna scan now.

Approximately 16 hours ago I played a movie on my xbox with the HD just fine. I havent had issues with that like I mentioned.

I haven't hooked it up to my laptop in well over a day so I hook it up to run scans and whatnot and just for giggles I tried playing something..

and it worked.


But for safetys sake, I'm going to back up what was a really pain in the ass to backup and see whats going on and see if I can get this back on track.

Does this have anything to do with the way I'm organizing my files maybe?

I have it set up like
Music > Artists > Albums > Songs
Movies > Movie folder >Movie file
TV > Show Folder > season > episodes

Too many folders ? Not enough? Irrelevant?

As far as backing up is concerned? Everything on there can be found again (albeit some of it was a pain in the rump). Nothing really backup related.

Did you run the basic utilities? ScanDisk included with Windows and such?

Run that, and also try HD Tune (Google it). Download it, install it, select your drive, and check the health tab. If it says it is fine, then go and run an error scan. If that doesn't come up with anything, you should probably reformat and see if it works again. Failing all of that, try calling the manufacturer. It should be under warranty.

I tried running a basic (Microsoft security essentials) virus scan, and it doesn't scan anything because according to my computer, there are no files to scan.

The writers have a way of making the show seem episodic without any real connection, but when the finale rolls along they manage to do an awesome job using details noticed throughout the season to end the show.

I've never seen firefly, but from what i've heard, its not along the lines of Who.

Doctor Who has great sci-fi stories and a really good continuity for a time travel show ( I think), but its got a lot of camp.

Actually, if you were to watch season 5 (season 6 is currently airing), you might be able to get less camp out of that. That season was pretty much a reboot of a reboot of the 2005 seasons. Its all the same doctor and everything that happened in 2005+ happened here, but there a tiny references and the effects are better.

And the special effects being awful is pretty much as part of the show as the Doctor himself is.

Most people don't like Season 1 (Eccleston is my favorite Doctor). Episode 5 is where it got me hooked and from there, the rest of the season was pretty solid IMO. The Doctor Dances was one of the best episodes in the new series.

If for some reason you still cant stand to watch it, then time skip to season 2 and maybe David Tennants run is more your style although its written by the same people, it has a different feel.


Or maybe Doctor Who just isnt your show?
