I wonder if some of the Bayleigh/JC issue was that she was missing some of his words through his accent, and thus didn't get the full message he was trying to say. I know without subtitles I wouldn't catch everything he says, but then again after being in the house with him for four weeks I'd probably have acclimated to it. It just seemed like she wasn't really catching on to many of the points he was trying to make.

It doesn't take a month to get used to someone's accent. This is just her being hypocritical and knowing she'll be treated as if she's in the right for the TV audience.

I simply took who I believed to be the 10 most iconic men and women in Survivor history. You could probably argue some in or out, but I think the women are rock solid. It was particularly hard to leave off Tony/Penner/Malcolm.

The jury votes are really the most baffling thing to me though. The only ones that really make sense from an outside perspective are Tina for Colby and Cirie for Sandra.

Since you mentioned Jagen and his archetype being bad, I feel I have to chime in to clear up some potential confusion.

On the higher difficulties, Jagen ranks as a high-tier unit because you actually need his better base stats in the early chapters. On casual playthroughs of Normal difficulty, it doesn't really matter as much since basically anyone can do 99% of what Jagen does on Hard, so he's left as mostly dead weight.

Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World (GBA)

After a terrible 2D Mario platformer, it made sense to go back to one of the better ones. I went with the GBA port of SMW, knocking out a 96 exit run in a bit under three hours. This port is lackluster, but still a far better game than the abomination that was NSMB2.

Pokmon Rutile Ruby (3DS; Rom Hack)

It's ORAS, but with the difficulty turned up to 11. This game did make a few changes I didn't like, but it was overall a fair challenge. It's certainly the only time I'll ever breed and EV train before postgame.

Finally got around to this one, and there's a very good reason I waited this long. This is the worst 2D Mario platformer I've played. The focus on collecting an absurd number of coins removed any risk of a game over, so apparently the devs took that as an excuse to fill the game with uninspiring levels and fake difficulty.

Side note: I lost a hand very close to this one for about $800 on full tilt.

I had 4 of a kind on the turn. The dude turned and rivered into a straight flush to beat me despite calling me all in when I had trips and he had nothing more than 2 cards to a flush or straight.

That's just a bad bluff turned lucky. It can't be avoided unfortunately, that's why I tend to stick to low stakes.
