sorry for gushing but the BBCAN10 finale was today, the winner is being compared to the likes of Dr Will and Dan (apparently, the last time a player won without winning HOH was 20 years ago on Season 2, and also the first time a week 1 nominee has won?) and the season is up there as a top tier season and the best since Season 10 (which unfortunately I havent seen), with something exciting (multiple things exciting) or unexpected happening every week, including the finale

this has been the best big brother season ive seen (the 2 that come close are BBCAN6 and BB17) and I'd be happy with any of the final three being the winner tbh (but I hope it's kevin)

Someone on Clubs made a good point. Survivor 41 was filmed, then Survivor 42 was filmed without knowledge of how 41 played out. And then, after both were filmed, BB23 was played. In all three seasons (which were the first three seasons following CBS' diversity initiative), there have been legitimate discussions of how race has an impact on black people in society, and black people in competitive reality television. This isn't just some cascade effect, where the Cookout existed, so then the Campout was created, and then Drea and Maryanne had their epiphany tonight; these are three groups of independent individuals who all came to the same conclusion about their place in society (which Survivor is a microcosm of).

This gets to me.

Race inequity discussions are important. As long as there are people denying subconscious bias, the discussions won't stop being important, and I don't see that stopping in our lifetimes.

I agree that they should take the time (but I don't see it in their plans at all) for a giant open-ended retcon. Theyve already done some like removing excess moves. Turn some megas into evolutions. Change some of the evolution levels, Braviary is like level 55 cause of BW? Lower it to make it make sense. Fucked up not giving ice a resistance, give them one. Raise the stats of some gen 1-3 pokemon to make them more viable. Stuff like that.

I'm becoming really overwhelmed by regional variants, regional variant-specific evolutions, Pokemon introduced in side games/spin-offs, and Pokemon that are literally not usable in any mainline game yet. I think the series has very much jumped the shark and my OCD is very much okay with me having fallen out of love with it around the time S/M were released.

I don't agree with this completely. Boxed, mass produced, and fast food is definitely worse and smaller portioned and such. But if you go to a local restaurant for a steak or a burger and the food is as good as ever.
