just heard about the existence of Spiral in the Saw franchise oh hey Saw movies are fun

30 minutes in what the god damn hell this isn't a saw movie, it's like they just thought oh hey if we fill the roles with big name celebrities that will count as a good movie and we can just make a generic police drama

Slow burn continues for next week to do its thing as the 3rd part again.

Given there wasn't much commentary last week, probably the same for this week which certainly has less to offer... it's kinda last week repeated and less interesting on the Imperial, Mothma, Luthen segments tbh. Didn't really progress as much as the last arc's mid-episode did.

maybe watching 2003 after Netflix Marvel makes him worse (plus not being an 11-y/o child anymore) but Matt Affleck is incredibly bad

Kingpin wasn't even that significant in the movie, Collin Farrell much moreso (although he at least makes me lol I'll give him that)

i don't remember much shit on MCDpin but I was also 11 when it came out

The Elektra movie's pretty generic, both movies are bad but Daredevil just gets more frustrating & painful to watch than Elektra ever really does

I at least enjoyed the abilities of the Elektra villains, although I concede they aren't as charismatic as Kingpin & Bullseye

i'm so glad not to deal with Matt anymore tho, which means Elektra herself doesn't have to be as stupid either

seriously Elektra's introduction in the Daredevil movie is insane

Elektra was a better movie than Daredevil

For instance there are plenty of legitimate reasons to dislike Ms. Marvel despite the critical acclaim it received

as someone that thinks Ms. Marvel fell apart ep3 and ended up at *best* bottom 2 D+, I've never had a problem being "lumped in" with the very evident group of complete shitheads - I feel like Ms. Marvel's issues with jumbling in the rushed and deeply unsatisfying Clandestines plot are pretty well acknowledged.

for some weird reason TLJ was wayyy stronger on the lumping rhetoric despite not having much of anything to do with social justice itself (no LMS this is not an invitation to talk about it, actually y'know what i better pre-emptively block on this account)

She-Hulk.

Took a lot of time to get going which makes you nervous nearing the end on a short episode length show, but Blonsky's gang was quite fun at least. Definitely spent too much time on the phone obsession though, I was definitely thinking "tick-tock She-Hulk we got things to be doing".

Also Wrecker reallllllly felt like he should be able to shed some light on the blood plot to Jen, like you say you're reformed... so surely you would see the significance to explain why you did what you did? I mean why else even bring him in otherwise? 3rd last ep is getting really deep where Jen really should be learning about what's going on and the opportunity was right there but dodged. We know we're still waiting on Daredevil so has to be next week, but then we also need to start setting up this finale conclusion with the intelligencia....

[promo content we've seen] Daredevil comes with Leapfrog as well so it's hard imagine fitting Intelligencia with that... we also know of Matt & Jen chatting at the bar with Jen, giving her advice about her dual-identity. There's also still the red carpet scene still, kind of a lot of stuff in promo material remaining to go on here, but the weird part is that none of it really points to the Intelligencia side of the plot.
