Managed to clear EX7 without portable stations (and many retries), and challenge EX8. Skipping challenges EX4-7 because literally fuck this event already.

Not sure how much longer I can stick with this game anyway.

Eh, for me I only got as far EX-5, only got 2/5 of the "apple pie" (could not fucking do EX-4s special objective), and I didn't even try to do any of the challenge modes. Overall I ended up with less goodies than the previous event.

They got to start dialing some of this difficulty back, events are supposed to be the best time to draw new players in while pleasing the ones you already have, instead these last two seemed designed to drive new ones away and to drive the rest of us up the wall.

I'm thinking of dropping Battle Divas for Exos Heroes. It would be just a short term thing (unless Exos really impressed me) until SINoALICE came out. The gameplay seemed decent enough; nothing spectacular, but not bad either. It's just that the horror stories about BD seem bad :<

I'm sticking with Battle Divas for now. As bad as the story chapters supposedly get, I'm willing to give it a pass for now because of exactly that, they're story chapters, they're not going anywhere unless the game outright dies.

The difficulty stonewalling on its current event is also something I'm willing to forgive slightly at the moment for a couple of reasons. Apparently those Order biochips can only be gained (by farming or rolling) during "Order related events" so unless there's tons more similarly themed maps, the current ones would be the most likely to repeat again soon.

And the Order biochips themselves have been vital in my progress overall. I've beaten (but haven't gotten all badges) on chapter 3 of the event, and I've finally 100% chapter 7 of the main story (even have Kagura's second weapon).

So at the very least the event is providing *some* reprieve to help you along with it and elsewhere, in contrast to what Arknights offers anyway. I mean, Grani vs Big Bob wasn't totally one-sided, but Ceylon vs Mama Lava Snail and Bison vs Rat King were stomps in the enemy's favor.

The problem I have is that enemies come from all over and go through so many convoluted paths, so you practically have to watch a video or do test runs to check whats coming when.

Like those large fuckers that zig-zag and loop around all over the place, and then you need to stack Defenders to actually stop them, and oh by the way, they're damage sponges, physical or arts damage.

You know shit is getting ridiculous when you need to commit 4+ Operators to dealing with one mob. Not a boss, but a fucking mook that spawns almost a dozen times per map.

Like, that's not a tower defense game anymore. That's a puzzle game and I'm just looking up the solution.

The problem for me is that even some video guides aren't viable for F2P, like 99% of the ones for this map expect you to have a E1 max potential Mousse (a not so easily obtained *4). And the *one* guide I found that doesn't use her? She was replaced by a goddamn E1 maxed Ifrit.

I can't even begin to imagine how fucked CB-EX 7&8 are if we've reached the point where non-freebie *4 and above are the minimum bar for entry now.
