A 24-year-old man from suburban Toronto has been charged with careless driving after a truck struck a hydro pole along Highway 64 in northern Ontario Monday night and came to rest against the side of a house.

A video of the dramatic flip was captured by Denis Lefevbre and posted to Facebook by Sharon Gauthier.

After veering off Highway 64, a two-lane road approximately 60 kilometres south of Sudbury, the Penske commercial vehicle hit a culvert and flipped vertically, ripping down a hydro pole and several lines.

Ontario Provincial Police said there were no injuries to either the driver, who's from Scarborough, or his 25-year-old passenger from Sudbury. There are no criminal charges pending, so police are not releasing the name of the driver.

They did, however, say they expect that distracted driving played a role in the crash.

Const. Michelle Coulombe told CBC News the sight of the Penske truck atop a house was a first.

"We've seen people drive into commercial buildings or homes," Coulombe said. "But a big truck like that to land on the roof of a house. No. Never."

The owner of the house told CBC News he was standing in his driveway when the truck launched into the air.

He said he hasn't had a chance to check the entire house, but the only interior damage he could see was a few cracks in the drywall.

The owner, who's lived in the house for nine years, said he is staying in his garage until the electricity and oil furnace in the house can be turned back on.

The highway was closed for approximately 10 hours and reopened around 3 a.m. ET.

The investigation is continuing.

In a news drop thats sure to please long-time fans, the 2V8 Game Mode was announced for Dead by Daylight offering a brand-new gameplay experience that promises to shake up The Entitys Realm. The widely requested mode will see two Killers face off against eight Survivors on a much larger Map.

To ramp up the action, several gameplay adjustments have been made including the replacement of Perks for what essentially amounts to a class system and the addition of Cages instead of Hooks. More information on the 2V8 Game Mode will be revealed in a future livestream this July.

FREMONT, Ohio (WTVG/Gray News) - Body camera video shows a traffic stop in Ohio where a deputy had just pulled over a United States Postal Service mail van for speeding at more than 100 mph in a 60 mph zone.

Is there a reason youre going over 100? a Sandusky County deputy asked in the video.

The driver replied, I didnt realize I was going that fast.

The stop happened just before 2 p.m. on April 21 on Route 20 just west of Fremont.

According to the traffic report, the van had no plates and the driver appeared to be racing a Ford Mustang.

In the body camera video, the deputy goes on to say, Yeah. I mean, that Mustang took off. He caught my attention, and then you blew by him, and I was pacing you at like 105.

Court records identified the driver as Drew Brown, 28. She told officials she worked for the Fremont post office.

Brown waived the case, which is now closed, and paid a $50 fine for the traffic violation after receiving a verbal warning for racing.

A spokesperson for the USPS shared the following statement:

Drew Brown is an employee. It is under investigation and as a matter of policy, we are unable to comment further on a specific individual personnel matter.
