Rolex and Tudor is a huge price jump. I plan to wear the watch.

Tag, haven't really been into. Heard the Tudor BB58 in particular wears nicely.

I made a topic earlier this year about my next watch.

Was eyeing a Tudor BB w/METAS certification.
Forgot the user name, but was more turned onto the used market (he suggested a Grand Seiko).

So atm I'm actually looking at a used or ~2 year NOS Tudor BB. No METAS but I think saving a couple grand will be more worthwhile as I want it to be a beater.

Might even be more of a beater than my Sinn 104 despite costing more. There's less sentimental value and it's more of a bucket list, secondary acquisition.

<$3k is the goal

If something insanely good happens this year I'm going new, or used Omega Seamaster. GS isn't off the table but I still want something of a tool watch to always have in daily rotation.

I live in an area where we get a lot of tornadoes so bad thunderstorms are like wrath of god storms with hail and high wind and potential tornadoes so no Im not particularly fond of them.

I have nothing against a nice steady rain but I hate bad storms at work, and at home I dont like it when the power is flickering and the wind is howling and the thunder is booming where it rattles the house. That isnt good sleeping weather.

Sheesh TC maybe you should be more considerate next time.

Storms also collapse infrastructure in some places. People can lose their homes and die.

Yeah Momoa, even if the character is a bit sleazy, fit himself well into that role. You can't take it seriously, but it's what actually brings some color and pace to the movie not all that grim, wannabe tense, always trying-to-one-up personalities (with the forced goofys) that plague the movie and franchise altogether.

The first movie is literally its own base universe and the rest of it is really like some absurd timeline that took after it.

I know Tokyo Drift grew on people. The Gran Turismo + D1 GP nerd in me was wtf with that depiction at the time, but I'll admit it had a lasting image and it literally did influence the cross-cultural automotive scene of course with the help of YouTube and other means of accessibility (although I'm also thinking it's a bit tainted).

But anyway, rest of the franchise clearly targeted a different audience and I have to give that production team and cast credit for their own success. $7B+ box office, memorable moments and memes within between generations.

Basically I'd pay the student loan debt first, then book a Formula 1 trip to Monaco, then use the rest on thr car loan

The car loan makes it easy to literally use it all up exact since it's a big loan.

Mom has SS but no 401k
Same with uncle
Uncle also has a Medicare issue that might compromise his continued dialysis care.

I have funds to maybe survive 2 months at best covering them. So there is this ridiculous scenario where we're between possibly letting someone die or go for broke, to stave that off for only a bit longer - not to embellish then situation

They weren't stupid with money necessarily. My dad just had situations where he couldn't hold a job until it also messed with his own ego to accept a low paying position at some point. They also paid up for private school for me and my brothers (that investment has its ups and downs). Parent plus college loans I believe for my brothers were pretty sizeable, and I'm not 100% sure what my mom's medical bills are. Basically outside of my dad's situation, life is expensive.

I can afford things, get into them with overhead and justify their acquisitions/benefit, but it basically takes one job loss to head downhill very, very fast.

Depending on what your local environment is like, some trips are predominantly EV mode with a hybrid. For sure that's still a far cry from total EV/no gas used, but like, I can sometimes navigate between two nearby locations on just EV alone, and I don't even have a plug in (CR-V hybrid)

I've had Mazda and Honda's most recent navigation packages and they were forgettable.

Cycling would cater more to cadence work and leg strength. One thing is if you were to exercise beyond your anaerobic threshold, maybe a bike is a bit safer.

How ever impact will never match running, to the point I'd say do both. Some people need to do cycling because they need to limit impact due to already damaged/weak joints.

Some people just aren't about that life anymore. As it is for myself, I don't really play much. Of course, there are people here who probably started when they were adults in the 90s and are literally grandparents or passed at this point. Some probably don't attach themselves to the internet all that much.

Also, dedicated forums have become more prominent and are perhaps a stronger resource at this point since online gaming involves more detailed coordination for events sometimes. That, and sometimes the FAQs are more like full blown wikis at this point.

GameFAQs was prime when times were simpler. It is a double edged sword, because the simplicity of this site is arguably what still makes it better than most other forums. Like we wouldn't want to be flooded with media and overkill graphics. As it is, the presence of ads to start is very below our standards.
