So I've been working this position for 1 month now.

So basically I called a client about feedback and to review us on a platform, but I messed up and said the wrong things.

Manager called me and my mentor/senior in. I told her I feel like I fudged up big time, but she said that I shouldn't think in this way and that I'm still learning, and that she's just trying to teach me how to handle this specific situation moving forward (because, after all, I did say the wrong things). Then she said I'm a fast learner, and mentor/senior said I'm improving day by day.

I still feel like I fudged up tho, and a bit bad. Should I feel bad about myself?:D

I like talking. I may be shy, but I love listening, and talking to people when I have something to say. My job involves calling people, and I have no qualms at all about doing that.

HOWEVER, through writing... I just suck. I can't express myself fully at all, which sucks when you try to maintain friendships or use Tinder, hah. Like, I don't get texting etiquette at all. It's either my texts are too long, my texts aren't to the point, the thoughts don't reach me like it does verbally, I often make typos from trying to text too fast -- and the list goes on.

I often read about people knowing how to express themselves in writing, but never the other way around. Can anyone relate?

Giving someone a title of manager is a way for companies to get around paying overtime.

Working OT has never been a thing here.

So I work for a small 90 people furniture company, where I work as a customer service manager. However, I'm the only one of my team. There's no one that is directly below me, or above me.

No one has ever introduced themselves as a manager towards me.

I have never heard of any mention in regards to one-on-one meetings either.

What do you reckon? Must say that prior to this I've only worked for big 300-400 and 600-700 man sized companies.

I'm feeling dreadful, and probably couldn't handle going to a crowded office and sitting on a chair for 8 hours straight.

But you still got to entertain yourself somehow, right? What do you do while sick?

Easy. I haven't watched porn in a long time.

So my mentor (idk who my manager is, lol) has been teaching me the ropes of this job. I started about a week ago. She works for a different market than I do, so we're kinda unrelated. And, I'm currently the only one working in this market/team, for which I'm the manager of (you could say I have the highest position here).

Any way, she would also always tell me when to start/show up. However, now she's off to vacation. On my first day, I started at 13. The following days at 10. My actual working day starts at 9, but I assume she would like to do her own tasks first, before spending here time teaching me.

Should I just show up at 10, like before?

So you find yourself a cool position with cool benefits. You will be taking up this company's new market, as its main representative. However, they're not sure about the market's feasibility yet. Meaning: you might lose your position by the end of December.

Would you still take it?

I live in Eastern Europe, so this isn't really a thing here.

Yeah I'm sorry, guys. I also don't really get going to concerts (for example), for the same reason. Might just be a depression thing.

Like, you finish it, and then what? It's not like you could return to it, so how is that your money's worth?

I could play fighting games over and over again, NHL series, and so forth. However, as soon as the story is finished and you completed everything to 100%, the game will start gathering dust, as there is nothing left to do.

Doesn't it feel like a waste of money to you? Please explain this to me.

Russia is trying to steal Ukraine because most of Russia is frozen wasteland where you can't grow food, and Ukraine has some of the most fertile soil in Europe.

China is agitating against Taiwan because they're embarrassed a tiny little island claims the right to rule them and is also vastly wealthier per capita because it embraced a western style economy rather than building riches for the Emperor on the backs of half a billion shit covered peasants.

Where would the USA think about expanding? Why? It can already project force anywhere in the world at a moment's notice.

I feel like my chances are high, but there's a lot at stake here :/ Passed the HR recruiter interview and technical interview.

You know, take 10 years to make a shitty copy of a good game you already made, then have it flop horribly.

Well if all other games were equally shit, then maybe it wouldn't flop.

If they could make more money making games that require less effort and budget?

In a world with no triple A games, people would still be buying games any way. Just ones that are a bit more crap.

Why would developers spend so much time developing Tekken 8, if they could just release, idk, Uno 8: Playstation edition.

Probably the move in date. And with a 2 bedroom you will probably get roommates wanting to split the rent. 1 bedroom and 3 bedrooms tend to get rented faster.

So I have a flat.

It's a nice modern, two bedroom flat, 43 square meters, nicely furnished, 2 months deposit, rent is slightly above the average of what the average young adult would pay. I live in a city with 350 000 people. Building is located in an upper middle class neighbourhood with a view over the main river.

Why would it take so long? It's been up for 13 days, yet I've heard nothing. Could it possibly be the move-in date being too far away?

It's nowhere to be found in customization:/

Because games are suffering quality control issues and are being bloated with post-launch monetization. Paying $70 for a game when you account for all of that is condoning wanton consumer hostility and corporate cynicism.

I guess I'm the only one that doesn't mind post-launch monetization.

I didn't like the Ninja Turtle costumes in Street Fighter, so I simply.. just didn't buy it.

If I really liked a skin in Mortal Kombat 1, then giving Netherrealm my 10 euros isn't that big of a deal.

We can lose fifty to a hundred for a game, right? If you like it enough to buy it at launch, then buy it. If you would still like to try it, but you're not as excited about it, then get it, if you're so curious?

I don't get it. Why be so difficult about it.
