I'm just trying to understand here, is there a group of people who distinctly view themselves as "they" and another group that views themselves as "them"? Not trolling I just have some catching up to do on this stuff in general.

I would think that the same rules apply than to distinguish between "he" and "him" usage.

While having woods around my house would be great, I would still put up a steel bars fence around the house clearing, hidden by the forest. Too many movies where anyone can come and go and kill owners. Sure, a fence is not going to stop every psycho, but a large majority will go elsewhere.
