Super nervous today with my guesses, but did surprisingly well. Tried to put Pocket in blue since it's a pool/billiards term, then wasn't sure about Buy being in green, or if my idea for green was even correct, but it was the best guess I had and seemed to make the most sense. I was wondering what the heck Mac was going to be used for the whole time, too, so purple eluded me.

I was lucky enough to get through this quickly, and without any trouble. Maybe doing it later in the day and not right when I woke up made a difference? I don't pronounce Bury that way, and don't get me started on Leachy. I actually did wonder if Bury was going to be a homophone, though, since it didn't seem to fit with anything else, but ignored it to look for other connections.

These just weren't clicking for me. I had blue's category mostly figured out, but I was sure Mousetrap was part of it, and it doesn't help that I've never heard of a game called Werewolf. The yellow words' connection seemed so obvious that I figured it was a trap and focused on blue instead. My mistake.

I immediately figured out purple, but was trying to keep Pitcher in there. After I got that sorted out, yellow and green fell into place. But blue? No way I would've gotten that. As someone said, that was tougher than purple.

I remember doing riddles like this back in elementary school (the ones where they gave you a grid and you had to figure out what went with what). Pretty fun. I managed to win today and solved it in 8 minutes and 2 seconds, though I might've tried to go faster if I'd known I was being timed.

I never liked TFA, myself, and even said as much when it released. At least one or two people on this site told me that I was an EU lover that couldn't handle the fact that it wasn't the same story because I said it didn't feel like Star Wars to me. I was never outspoken about it, either, beyond that comment, so I wasn't thrilled by the rabid defenders. I'm definitely not one of the people you see complaining about it to this day, either; I moved on from the series a long time ago (though I still enjoy reading about the older lore from time to time).

And the problem I have with people saying TFA gets a pass because it's more or less a remake of the original is that it's not a standalone story in a different universe - it takes place in the same one, years after the bright, hopeful ending we got in RotJ, and it pretty much dumps all over it and the old heroes and resets everything back to how it was in A New Hope. We all know how the next two movies went, too, so I won't even go there.

I breezed through this, though I legitimately did not get yellow before the others. I don't think I've ever heard of a photo being called a "snap." Sure, I've heard the phrase "snap a photo", but that's not the same thing.

I think I've heard of sup used in that context, but I tried pickings at first despite that not sounding right. Purple finally clicked after that when I looked at shady. Would never have gotten blue.

My brain just wasn't getting these today. First I was putting Tag in yellow, and I thought that the purple words could be homophones, but I'd never heard of Mame, so I didn't see a fourth word and abandoned that idea. Blue seems obvious in hindsight, too.

BotW definitely had more of an impact on me; I feel like the story was a hell of a lot better in how it was told, plus the whole world/experience was new at the time. That being said, I think TotK improved upon everything else, so I almost feel like a hipster for saying that I still hold BotW in higher regard despite that. It was just one of those unique, one-of-a-kind video gaming experiences for me, and that's something you can't ever recreate or experience in quite the same way again.

Anyway, I'd rate both extremely highly, probably as close to a 10 as you can get for me. I just wish TotK told a better story.

I have a four way stop on my route to work and what I often see is where I'll be in position 2 in the example you posted, and someone who's in position 3 will ignore the stop sign if they're turning right and cut me off. There are even times where I'll already be in the intersection and someone will fly up and do that, too. Drives me nuts.

Driving, of all things, is what makes me realize just how stupid and selfish most people are.

I would've had a perfect if I hadn't second guessed myself and switched out round for rib. I also don't drink and know next to nothing about cocktails, so purple was beyond my grasp.

I saw one for the first time a couple of weeks ago, myself. It drove by me on the road and it kinda spooked me because it looked so... off compared to what you expect to see sharing the road with you. I wouldn't say I'm a fan of the design, myself.

I was testing out a GameCube I got off of eBay earlier today by playing some F-Zero GX for a while (sequel/remake/rerelease when?). I honestly don't know who'd win this fight - Falcon's kinda all over the place depending on if you count things like Smash, the anime, etc. I could see it going either way.

I was determined to put Ferry in green, thinking of the act of taking someone/something across something and loosely associating it with words like Collar and Lead, but eventually got it when I dumped it. I actually thought of Stevie when I first saw Nicks, but didn't know of Plant or Ferry and thus couldn't get purple before the rest.

I don't know how I did this. Yellow came easily enough (though I still wasn't fully convinced I was going to get it right when I tried them), then I had to sit and think for a minute or two before getting green (again, not fully confident in my answers). I then completely fumbled my way into purple after a few minutes of coming up with absolutely nothing by deciding I should go ahead and hazard a guess, then picking the four words that seemed the most likely to be together to me. I had no idea what the category was going to be, but I somehow got them right. I guess it's a win, but it was almost completely blind luck.

Yellow once again giving me more trouble than the so-called harder categories. I was definitely feeling less than confident with my guess for it even with only eight words remaining, whereas purple and blue stood out instantly to me from the start. As for green, I don't think I've ever heard of an everything bagel or an egg bagel. I'm far from a bagel connoisseur, however.

Gotta love those days when there are multiple words that fit a category. I especially dislike it when it's yellow, i.e. the category you'd think they'd expect you to get first, since they consider it the easiest group. I'm surprised I got purple, though I did look up the pronunciation of ohm to be sure I remembered it correctly.

You ever see/hear about those scam emails that say they hacked your webcam and recorded you as an attempt at extortion? I once got one, myself, despite the fact that my desktop doesn't have one and my laptops always have a piece of electrical tape over the built-in ones. I think I started to do it after I saw a story where they were interviewing Zuckerberg years ago and you could see the tape on his laptop, though I also try to make sure any webcam drivers are uninstalled, too (though who knows when a laptop might decide to try to reinstall things on its own).

Anyway, I'm also reminded now that I once clicked on a link to a news article about something gaming-related that was posted in a topic here, from a gaming website I'd never heard of, and I immediately started having pop-ups and redirects when trying to browse afterwards. I took it as an excuse to do a reformat and fresh install, then started using NoScript for a while after that one.

I always get a kick out of it when I do these when I wake up, guess something I know is less than optimal because I'm too tired and rushed to think about it, and it turns out to be the right answer.

I just wanted to pop in to say that I'm currently completely stumped on everything and haven't tried anything yet. Hoping I'll be able to take a look later and things will make more sense.

Still, this is the first time I didn't even have a guess in mind.

Update: I didn't like this one at all, but I managed to stumble my way to a win.

My first guess was Panoramic ____, so I tried View, Window, Door, and Point. I wasn't sold on that last one, but it was the only remaining word that I thought might have fit. Of course, it was all wrong, anyway, and the fact that it didn't tell me I was one off made me sure that Panoramic wasn't the answer here. Next I tried green not because I understood the exact answer, but simply because I recognized them all as terms from my mathematics classes (and honestly, I was feeling frustrated at this point and was ready to just throw things out and see what stuck). For yellow, I was thinking of things that held other things together, since I saw three words that worked with that idea, and I threw out Pocket with them because I thought it was the closest fit from the remaining words. So that's another category I got without knowing the intended answer. I actually realized what blue was after most of the other words were gone, at least, and purple? I definitely wouldn't have gotten it on my own, especially because they made all of the words singular when the group names are all plural.
