It's strange that you make an exaggerated hypothetical and multiple conservatrolls get up in arms, yet when given the option of a Democrat or a pedophile, Republicans only just barely held their noses and cast throw-away ballots so as not to vote for a Democrat. Seriously, the margin of victory for Doug Jones was less than the number of write-up votes, and that means there were STILL 650,000 Republicans that would rather vote a pedophile than a Democrat. And of course now that Roy Moore lost, every conservatroll in this topic series claims they were always against him and are glad he lost, just like how they were all completely against Donald Trump when the polls came out after the pussy tape. Simply astounding.

to add on to this: I would never, under any circumstances whatsoever, vote republican right now

I'm with you about not getting complacent, but I do think there's reason to feel pretty good about the Democrats' chances. I don't expect most (any?) of you to follow me to the land of OPTIMISM of 50+ House Seats but I also don't believe gloom and doom forecasts are warranted.

Everyone needs to get out and vote and get as many friends and family to vote as they can, of course (and not just this election, for all elections), but I do think there's cause for some optimism here.

I can give you one very recent and relevant example. Will Ospreay. He gave that interview talking about how he couldn't imagine ever going to WWE because he couldn't imagine not being with his family on Christmas Day. I'm not saying Ospreay's getting the dump truck of money backed up to his house to the level that the Bucks and Omega are, but there were several instances in the past year or so where it was clear they were still recruiting him pretty heavily.

The Bucks and Cody, alongside the rest of the BTE crew, just put on the most successful indie wrestling event ever. And at the end of the show, they gave a big ol' ra-ra-ra promo about how "no one entity owns pro wrestling - WE OWN PRO WRESTLING! And no matter what comes next, we are sticking together!" Sure, it's heavy handed, and you can call that the swerve, I guess, but that'd be a pretty big middle finger to your biggest supporters and fans from a group of guys that don't have a history of doing that sort of thing.

What they DO have a history of is teasing the WWE jump. Especially Omega. Maybe they haven't used the family verbiage or whatever, but they have done it. These guys are the biggest workers in the business. Daniel Bryan just re-signed based on the same line of thought. Do you really think it's out of the realm of possibility that they're playing that up because they know if they were gonna do another tease they might have to take a different avenue?

And even if you don't buy the "sticking together" stuff at face value, the Bucks aren't going without Omega. Those three guys are savvy enough to realize that their stock drops dramatically if they're not a package deal. And Omega really truly is 100% not going. He has programs with Ibushi left to do, and he's been very vocal about that. Gedo had to beg and plead with him to do the match with him in the G1, and Omega cashed in that favor by overturning what would have been a KOPW rematch by adding Cody to it. He's very protective of that.

Look, I get it. ROH and NJPW and whatever other companies you want to name can't match the money WWE might offer. But maybe they can offer, say, $1 million less? (And I'm just throwing out a random number, so don't nickel and dime me here.) And maybe creative control, lighter travel, etc. is valued at $1 million for these guys. We don't know. And rest assured, they're gonna break the bank as much as possible, especially ROH, because they're legitimately dead if the Bucks walk.

I'll walk back saying that there's zero chance they go. The recent stuff about the dissent in the New Japan locker room may play a role. But again, remember who Dave's getting that stuff from: the Elite, the ultimate workers. So I'd be inclined to take that with a grain of salt too.

So I still think the chance is astronomically low. If I'm wrong, I'll wear it. But remember that the majority of this topic was UTTERLY CONVINCED that Omega was going last year, too, and I was the right about that as well.
