| LiqiudusSnake 02/26/23 5:59:20 PM #1 | The first story with Leon anyway... As someone who beat RE4 30+ times, and RE5 and RE8 several times over, It was... Ok I guess. Mr X was overall pretty annoying after the initial "oh shit he's there and faster then I suspected!". He just made me run around more. After that I didn't really enjoy it much because I heard you can literally run out of ammo for bosses and be stuck to the point of a restart. Because I heard it was that extreme I didn't really enjoy myself and basically did the entire sewers twice because of those big things in the water being sponges. Also, basically the same exact boss just mutating 3 times is kinda lame. Overall, I feel like the game would have been FAR more enjoyable with something simple like the knife not breaking. Just SOMETHING to know that the game wont be literally impossible if you don't conserve just right. --- If we are but brief cracks of light between two infinite darknesses, why do anything but flicker and extinguish? |

| LiqiudusSnake 02/05/23 7:40:59 PM #1 | So, like many others I have finally gotten around to the last of us games now that the show is out. It also helps that they both went on sale at Christmas and I just got my PS5 a few months ago, but I digress. Went into last of us 2 with a lot of hesitancy because of what everyone has said about it. To be honest... I don't get the hate... like at all. From my experience, it was a better game in every single way. From the story telling to the gameplay, everything was just so well done. Emotionally, everything hit so well and the story was told so greatly it had me tearing up for all characters. By the end, I didnt want anything to happen to either Ellie or Abby. I fully understood Ellie (and our) connection to Joel and her need for revenge, but Abby was completly justified herself. I could really get into it, but this lets just make it short and say this is one of if not the best stories of revenge in any media imo. Gameplay was simply better on all fronts. I played 1 and 2 back to back so I didnt have any nostalgia goggles. The first is great and has its own charm, but 2 is simply just a better version and hard to even argue its anything but imo. I know alot of people are going to say its political because of certain charactor directions. Honestly though, even if you have strong political views or beliefs, if you cant put that aside to see what a tremendous game this is outside of those factors, I feel something is just wrong with you.
