I'm the opposite. I used to identify as a republican, but as time has passed I've been more and more in favor of the left (even voting for Hillary this past election).

I missed work today for an illness. I let my manager know, but she must not have let the assistant who I was supposed to work with know. Anyway, they ended up calling my emergency contact to see if they knew where I was. Is this a common thing? It just struck me as odd. I work retail btw, not an important position at all
