I think it's user popularity also, when it's someone very well known, like Vegy or Duckbear, the votes seem to be way up. There's a lot of lower key CE users and those don't seem to nearly get the same amount of votes. I know some people won't vote if they don't know who the users are.

I agree that it's mostly on the public also, and going to public places here, and how few are wearing masks, I don't feel very safe. I'd rather seem paranoid at this point and stay at home as much as possible, the wife's brother got it nearly two weeks ago and he's finally about recovered from it, but he said the body pain and overall illness is like having the flu with all of the symptoms multiplied by three. He lost a lot of sleep because of body pain and whatnot. I don't want to go through that, or worse, it effects people differently.

Update: He was 1millimeter from full body palazysis. He will have surgery tomorrow.

That's incredible, and he's extremely fortunate for that. That's probably the best news you can receive in a traumatic fall like this.

Well me and the wife are officially working from home, part-time and as needed until at least January. I don't like to bring up politics here or discuss them, but the fact that the US is on a terrifying upward trend, and now Trump is going to hide CDC numbers, i'm about convinced he's planning on lying through his teeth, will start to say the numbers are going down, America is doing great, etc. while it continues to get worse and worse. I'm not buying into the bullshit and it's not worth our lives.

Until at least January, i'm strictly work from home, and will take on additional projects as needed. Wife left her job when they pretty much told her during the lockdown that she still needed to be there 40 hours a week, they weren't providing masks and weren't showing much consideration to their employees.

It's just not worth it. It will impact us a bit financially but we will be fine, I have more than enough saved to keep us in good shape until next summer if needed.

A lot of studies say cats prefer running water, or being able to see where the water source is by sound and bubbles on the surface. My cat was an asshole when I brought him home, I had a nice 32 oz stainless steel dish of water, he'd get his paw in it and splash and whap at it until he spilled it all. It was frustrating until I saw him drinking out of the slow drip faucet in the bathroom I left on to keep the pipes from freezing. I got him once of these fountains and no mess since.

I got a couple of pet fountains for my cats, because both of them liked to knock them over and spill them

Used to have a bro when we worked at Petco, I think I mentioned him before he was real into the Irish punk stuff, we called him Moose. He would take a 30 min lunch break, get a $5 hot and ready from Little Caesars and eat the entire thing on his lunch break. He always came in with a 2 liter diet coke also, i'm pretty sure he spiked it but we never asked. That was a great job, that guy was out of control though. He could drink with the best of em.

If you can find the big dipper, it's supposed to be about 10 degrees under it. It's a bright looking star with a triangle funnel behind it, kind of faint.

I'm in blender mode tonight, got some rum, tequila, a couple shots of vodka and like 4 kinds of beer. I got this ale that sounded real good so I bought it, it's ommagang three philosophers, it's a darker cherry caramel ale.
