TopicTIL no human remains were found after years of claims of 'mass graves' in Canada

New York Post is garbage

Clarifying context from the reddit link posted above:

"During a lot of these discussions there was a lot of reporting on the 'Mass Graves' that were discovered. The issue with this is that the actual reports from the groups doing the investigation never initially claimed there was mass graves. What was being discovered was unmarked or forgotten burial sites.

In residential schools It has been reported that some schools had a death rate as high as 1 in 20 per student. Some deaths were from disease, others abuse, neglect but most are unknown. While many of the schools had explicit cemeteries associated with them, some did not. Even among those schools associated with cemeteries, records and even some cemeteries were lost when areas were abandoned and left to grow over. It is estimated that there is somewhere in the realm of 3,200 unmarked / lost graves.

In one specific instance the 'probable burials' were within a cemetery where the headstones of the victims were removed at some point by 'Catholic Authorities'.

It is much more accurate to refer to these as unmarked graves since when the general public thinks of a Mass Grave it brings up images that are inconsistent with the actual findings.
But this confusion in terminology is being maliciously used by some groups to try to paint the entire situation as a hoax. But there it is still highly likely that most of the sites contain graves."

Full screen only, since the late 90s. I barely ever played games on PC back then and haven't at all in over a decade. I pretty much only use it for web browsing, or word processing when I was in university, so no need to see other programs since there are were none other than Winamp.

I started making music a couple years ago and sometimes use an extended desktop to my tv, but even then everything is full screen.

Likely no. I would rather work 3-5 days in a row and have the occasional 2 day weekend like I do now.

Union job, 70 hours/2 weeks, and roughly 120 hours of PTO that carries over year to year (I currently have over 200 on the books despite taking a full 2 weeks the last 2 years plus lots of other individual days).

If the pay was good enough and I didn't hate the job, maybe for a year or two.

Never been an issue in any house I've lived it, and I can't imagine it would ever be on one on my cul-de-sac. And even then, I can't imagine I'd care if there was cars regularly parked in front of my house.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

I use exactly zero community assets. Well, except putting my dog poop bags in the playground trash if necessary, but again, the city maintains that and keeps it clean.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

I have never and will never attend community events. The dump is a 5 minute drive, or I can set up a large item trash pickup easily with the city.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

I couldn't give less of a fuck what other people do with their yards. Make beautiful gardens, use as extra parking, keep trimmed, let it grow, etc. It's their land.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

I would rather that people in the area should voice their individual concerns to the city - or group together if they want - instead of a singular board determining that stuff. Meanwhile, my city posts public notices of potential projects and asks the public to reach out with ideas or concerns.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

I do not want police actively patrolling my street and I live in Canada. In Texas? Jesus Christ no.

Glad you find those things beneficial. Absolutely zero are to me, and are reasons I would never live in a HOA.

We don't have an actual IMAX screen anywhere near my city - it's a regular theatre, just an altered ratio projection/screen, and sound waaaay too loud for the small room. Went a couple times after it opened but never since; I refuse to ever waste my money here.

Last real IMAX was last year in Ottawa, saw the Bowie Ziggy Stardust concert film remaster re-release.
