And yeah Serj's voice is terrific. The guitarist, Daron, also provides vocals and while I don't like his voice as much he harmonizes with Serj well. |

Instant maple and ginger oatmeal, specifically. And it didn't just make the Yeerks crazy, it also removed their need for Kandrona radiation so they could stay in a host indefinitely, but that's not useful if they're crazy. IIRC there's a standoff with Visser Three towards the end with a barrel of the oatmeal over the Yeerk pool and the kids threatening to shoot it with a Dracon beam to try to negotiate. Jake even acknowledges that the entire thing is stupid and no one will remember it as an important battle. |

IIRC morphing requires a ton of energy and he was exhausted from the venom. He also hadn't been in control of his own body for like thirty years and we see earlier in the series when Chapman's Yeerk relinquishes control that Chapman starts drooling and has trouble speaking and standing at first, and that's only a couple of years of infestation at most. |

This quote sums it up... "People don't understand the word ruthless. They think it means 'mean.' It's not about being mean. It's about seeing the bright, clear line that leads from A to B. The line that goes from motive to means. Beginning to end. It's about seeing that bright, clear line and not caring about anything but the beautiful fact that you can see the solution. Not caring about anything else but the perfection of it." Now he openly says you deviate from the line when needed or when something isn't morally justifiable, but the fact that a 13-16 year old is saying this is fucked. |
