I mean, I think we probably shouldn't overlook that as fondly as we remember Rooster Teeth, as a company they were extremely poorly run and had quite a few internal issues that should have been dealt with far better. They also made some extremely poor choices with franchises and ideas (Gen:Lock) when they had legitimate work with a major star like Michael B. Jordan.

I know it's easy to say WBD is screwing up here, but what return was Rooster Teeth actually giving them at this point? Their mistake was selling out the company in the first place.

I'll always have great memories of Rooster Teeth, but there was enough bad there that I get why it ended this way. Hoping for the best for the creators and employees there though.

This would have been during full Johns and and Tomasi fever when they were the hottest thing since sliced bread, GL was dominating. A couple years later and even Larfleeze could have been in the top 25.

It's difficulty to convey for those who weren't all in at the time what a fucking movement that Johns GL run was. Blackest Night felt like the fucking Olympics for comic events.

Man, this was such a wonderful time. I loved it. I loved jumping into Green Lantern as Johns just made the whole thing so expansive and awesome.

There seems to be none of that hype left. It feels so hollow nowadays, even with the great books out. There's just nothing that feels special like that.

Wow, this Janet Cage skin was absolutely meant to be a retro Johnny Cage skin like it was originally revealed as. There's a ton of homages to the original trilogy, including that jump corner combo of his they threw in here.

That said Janet Cage is cool, but it's kind of funny that they just swapped the skin and that's all for it.

It's possible they toned down Tiny Tina because, well, she's a bit divisive to folks. I know plenty of people who don't care for the character, and maybe they thought if they matched her energy in the games, it may deter folks from wanting to see it or enjoying it.

Damn this really is just Guardians of the Galaxy but more raunchy.

Clap Trap's voice being by Jack Black just feels so off too though. There is some charm missing from it that the games have always had.

Meh, it may be good. It may not. It's a crapshoot.

It's a completely awesome show on Amazon Prime which is releasing it's second season soon! It stars Josh Brolin! Huge recommend!

Blanka is absolutely BS in this game. Completely busted. He gets too much off of trades.

I dunno if I'm just an outlier or not, but this looks and sounds like it's kind of bad. Like the scene with Gambit riding (???) on Wolverine is freaking bizarre. I don't know, the whole thing just seems so uncomfortable to watch from a dialogue, to action, to voice standpoint.

Never forget how Sony was tricked into thinking they could release Morbius a second time in theaters and expect it to be successful only to find out people just liked saying Morbin Time about their stupid movie.

Kingpin is such a great villain that he easily goes on Spidey and Daredevil's top rogues.

I like this idea of doing a "retired" game every year. MVC3 felt special until it was the same old shit. Third Strike should be extremely fun too.

I feel like I ought to make a stronger pitch about Psycho, since I feel like the others have had good explanations.

Psycho was a completely wild experience when it came out in theaters and really changed the game. It's considered the originator of the slasher genre, but it's so much more than that. It's an incredible film to boot, and maybe without being as good as it was it may have taken longer to blow up as a genre. But people went crazy for this film. It was a movie with a shocking twist and during every showing people were told not to spoil it for anyone entering the theater. And the masterful directing and iconic scenes an camera shots cannot be overstated.

If one slasher makes it on here, it absolutely needs to be Psycho.

This feels actually impossible.

But I do think Psycho, The Exorcist, Dracula, Halloween, and Night of the Living Dead may be the strongest options.
