Back in March, basically everywhere, the only ones being tested were those who were on death's doorstep and admitted into the ICU. Comparing widespread testing to that time in March is a fucking joke basically. The numbers in March were much higher I'm sure if we had widespread testing March would be the absolute peak of the cases in many countries. --- JOBS! I can't see schools seriously disciplining over masks either cause parents and lawyers will have a field day 2. MAYBE in nice well funded districts, but covid has destroyed city budgets and I'm sure we can both guess where some of the cuts were made. Even still my classes are capped out at 32 students per room, even if you cut that in half you still wouldn't be able to distance kids 6 feet apart (which probably isn't even enough space, but it's the standard that gets thrown around). 3. Similar to #2 but even more doubtful. No way these districts are going to fit every room with a device that will be obsolete eventually and isn't even proven to work to begin with. What's going to happen is what my district is talking about. They mandate masks (but then can't enforce), put more handwashing stations around schools (aka sanatizer stuck to hallways), and then sanatize over night. I think the misconception people have is teachers want to do remote learning cause it's easier and we're lazy, that isn't the case. It's waaaay easier for me to teach in person, but I'm not about exposing the kids and myself to a serious virus just because people want their babysitters back. So what do you propose then?
