I don't use a case or a screen protector but I consider smart phones as a 4-5 year electronic consumable+ I have the cash to just buy a new one if I break it.

I don't have any recommendations but I don't think they have too much of an input delay?

Perhaps the perfect answer? Nothing to fret over if its not causing issues? I mean since I've gotten the phone I've noticed sometimes I need to press or swipe things more than a couple of times, but that's never changed.

They are short, medium, and long hair line scratches, aren't even visible unless under a flash light.

Only had it a year and 4 months, but I hope it can last awhile yet.

I use a microfiber to clean the screen and oh boy, been noticing more and more hairline scratches, only when the screen is off however but there's more of them than ever and longer. I'm feeling very OCD, been trying to get my mom to get one since she bought the phone, but its really time.

I clean the microfiber with soap and water then let it dry pretty frequently btw.

Can I ask, anyone NOT use a protector on their phone and still manage? I just worry it will lead to input delays and such.

I took it for the first time Sunday night and I dont know if it reacted bad with me, the trazadone Ive already been on, or what. I started vomiting and havent felt that sick in years. I was told it wasnt one of those drugs that make you sick if you drink but I dont know. I only had about 250ml of whiskey over a couple hours, so it wasnt a lot (for me at least).

Well, I'm not going to test it today then as I ended up getting another case, but I take Trazadone as well. Want to but if you end up feeling sick when drinking then nevermind. I hope things have been better since, but don't sound like it, not sure if you took it again? Keep me updated if you'd like, as I would like to hear more personally.

And that's really the problem: To get useful information, you need to find people who are trustworthy and have had experience with the medication in question, and on top of that you need to find quite a few of them to get an accurate picture of what the risks are (2/2 people saying "it made me feel nauseous" is not enough to conclude that nausea is a common side effect, nor is 2/2 people not mentioning blood clotting problems enough to conclude that it can't cause clotting problems).

Your doctor has ready access to literature discussing the medication, has likely prescribed it before and managed the prescription for other patients, and knows enough about the broader picture of your health to make guesses about how this medication will fit into that picture. Personal anecdotes often feel better than a formal professional opinion based on statistics and whatnot, but they're decidedly less useful for risk analysis than accounts that look at the bigger picture.

Your pharmacy may have packaged a medication information sheet with it, or can provide one if you ask for it (pharmacists can also be a good source of information about what to expect from the medication, sometimes even more so than your doctor). That can provide you a high-level summary of what to expect/watch out for, though it won't capture any of your personal nuance.

Oh thank you! Yeah he usually just says what's good about medications but when the pharmacy mails them, there's only the receipt of everything costing $0, no medical advice on pills.

I read earlier on a search it can make you sick, so it concerned me to ask here. Maybe not the most appropriate of locations, but I know you guys have useful info. so I like asking with concerns. Gamefaqs has been my home, the majority of my life lol.

You should really be asking your doctor about side effects, what to expect, and worries you have about any new medications he prescribes you. He's going to be able to offer significantly more comprehensive, accurate, and useful information than you're going to get by relying on the opinions of a handful of Internet strangers who are under no obligation not to lie to you.

I know I can trust you, and ConfusedTorchic at least. Others who I cant think of by user handle atm but, at least believe I can, although not sure who is experienced on this subject.

How is it? Got prescribed it, it's for alcohol cravings he said. Worried it'll make me feel terrible or something. Wanted to get some opinions as I know there are others here who have struggled.

What can I do I a very distraught right now. No need to do virus scans I use a Chromebook, my AOL isn't my active account these days but check it here and there to see if anythings on it.

Oddly it says no new log in's or anything sent from my email, but under from its definitely my email being sent to my name. In the spam it also says sent from me. I'm freaking out and wondering if everything will be compromised now especially when I had my number and other email listed as back up.

Hover over the "From" address in the spam email. Odds are it's actually from a different address, spoofed to look like yours. Spam emails will often be made to look like they're from somebody else, in this case spoofing the recipient's address for the sake of freaking them out. In that case, delete it and move on.

If it's actually from your account (unlikely, but not impossible), it's been compromised and you should change your password. Make sure you run a virus/malware scan on your computer first to ensure the password change isn't picked up by anything that might be lurking there, then change your password and force a logout for all devices.

Ok it looks like it might have been from mine, but there are no password changes, no other log-in's notable in my security, just me. but its definitely using my email. what then?

I don't, just have the account open. I read it could be a spoof to make the address look like mine but wasn't really sent from my account per say? Nothing looks tampered with but the email being mine, and sent to my name.

Just changed the password, should I just obliterate the account?

I haven't checked in a couple of days but after seeing this, don't notice anything on my other accounts and phone which I have linked.

There are no new sign-in's but a spam using my address on it is threatening me to pay them with bitcoin or whatever that is because they have me on cam. no new changes were made to my AOL as far as I'm concerned. had a strong password and it says in a spam message it was sent from my email to me. Just worried I'm compromised or anything on my main accounts or if its anything to worry about.

Not appreciably higher than the likelihood that you get dust/dirt from any other source blowing in. If you don't notice that the screens are dirty by looking at them, there's no need to do any extra dusting.

Exactly, you'd think with a window open there'd be higher chances of other probables, they made quite the mess it was a storm. I just know I'm the type to close the window if its raining and such.

Some people were using these air blower things to blow dirt and leaves around what is the possibility of that being all over the screens of my devices in my room? As well as vents like game devices and such? Highly doubtful, but my OCD is ticking badly.

I don't think it is anything to worry about, most cookies have some sort of expiration date so you are eventually required to log back in again. Since you were able to sign back in it shouldn't be an issue, although you can always change your password if you are concerned.

There's been no new log-in emails or anything, but yeah I've likely been signed in for a year or two, I normally don't log out of sites.

its for my medication doctor, not my regular doctor. i called the office today because he wanted me to call immediately if results came in, so will be speaking with him tomorrow.

never think i had it checked, but requested it due to mood and anxiety, as well as slow growing hair and facial hair.

would you know if this is a high or low range?

Dude why are you so paranoid about your Pixel 6a, literally every topic you make is about some new worry you have about it. It's a budget level phone and yet you're acting like it's your only child.

i think it cost $450. that's what the receipt said when my mom got it, i thought it was an upper level phone, a year and 3 months ago.

a english and french language pack after turning on the phone. is this normal? i ask if this is normal because my phone don't download anything from the play store or system updates unless i manually do, so wondering if its anything malicious. i don't even speak french.

i liked the first one, i 100% it plus DLC. although it was a lot of video watching to get through a lot of it, when i prefer text guides, but no text guide was complete, and there weren't even any for the DLC's. imagine its the same here.

5V x 2.4A = 12W

The Pixel 6a can pull a maximum of 18W, so a 12W charger will only be slightly slower, and only when doing a full charge from near empty. The difference will be pretty small, probably 20-30 minutes difference in a zero to 100 charge, and 5-10 minutes for a partial charge, say 50 to 100%.

thanks captain! would you say just stick with that wall charger then? i don't mind the slower charge at all. its just that a person on reddit said the battery will degrade if its not picking up 18w and then another one said the official one is rapid and that degrades as well.

all i can say is using the one i have been using doesn't feel like it really heats up on the phone or on the wall charger so i'm guessing its minimal stress, unlike the rapid one i was given which heated up.

and by the USB inserts both say 2.4 A

i just got handed one and in 10 minutes it went from 21% to 41% and the phone was warm.

on the wall charger i've been using the phone don't get warm nor the wall charger really.

should i just stick with the old one? charges slower but its fine, i don't want to wreck the battery.

B12 is a common ingredient in energy drinks, often at extremely high levels. Supplements can be sold over the counter in the US with up to 5,000 g. The US RDA is 2.4 g. 400 g of folic acid (B9) is 100% of the daily value. The recommended upper limit is 1,000 g per day, but there are few if any symptoms of overdose unless you suffer from B12 deficiency. Like the other B vitamins, folic acid is water-soluble, so any excess is excreted in your urine.

i google'd that folic acid can worsen anxiety and depression as well as cause psychotic problems. this was on the search engine that before opening a site a number of them had said that, but not about the B12. not sure if that is accurate. maybe tomorrow only take the B12? i also read folic acid supplements B12 so maybe that's why it was prescribed.

i wasn't aware of the folic acid, i was told i was getting prescribed D3 and B-12.

anyways the doses are: B-12 500MCG and folic acid 400MCG.

i had really bad anxiety this morning, calmed a bit then these came in the mail from the pharmacy and been feeling badly anxious again ever since.

i feel like i'm more awake than usual from it which was the goal, but man am i a nervous wreck. does it get better the more days i take it, or nah? wasn't even aware of the folic acid one as mentioned.

actually sadly its always been this way, even from a puff to few. :'c i have thrown up a couple of the times, feel like i'm sinking in the ground, feel like i'm wetting myself, feel like i see cop lights everywhere. this was on other occasions.

i feel extra anxiety'd out today haven't been able to shake it. started calming down in that regard last night, but woke up way worst than i already do today. not sure if that's normal.

its mostly over, but better to call it a night. still not having best memory, times still a bit slowed down, i don't get how people get pleasure out of it, maybe tried it 5 times in my life. i wish i knew how to get the pleasure piece but i guess some people just don't lol.

also is it normal that i did a little bit of poop and it was super green? looked just like weed, i rarely poop green. no offense just wondering if it was the weed coloring it.

since my phone didn't come with an official one, i got one from a convenience store last year and someone said its bad to use, due to it not having the specs. needed and needing $30 ones and such.

on the main page it says sorry cant load content, on other pages it will say log in at the top, then i go to another page and i'm still logged in. nothing unusual in the sign in history. cleared cache and restarted chromebook and its no better.

i always felt i had low testosterone, medications and therapy don't help much so been thinking maybe i have hormone problems, aka testosterone. maybe not but...

my hair grows really slow, i got my first hair cut in like two years the other day, not sure if it'll grow back the same again, plus it took two years. the length i'm at now, real short could stay that short for more than a few months, i've seen it before. my facial hair takes a few weeks to grow even the slightest, than after over a month i shave it due to it being uncomfortable.

my depression and anxiety has always been on the severe side, as far as sexual which has never been with a partner i release to quick, if i can manage a second time its quick too. also sometimes i just don't even think of it at all for a couple of weeks and don't bother.

Tbh a lot of my knowledge of software also stems from my own insecurities in trusting things we're supposed to rely on. It would weird me out to use a phone every day and have no idea how it works like it's some kind of magic. Idk why I don't feel this insecurity towards things like engineering or physics, maybe because like you say there could just be some dude spying on us and we wouldn't even know. I don't mind the questions, but for your sake consider the fact that you are taking cyber-security so seriously makes you very unlikely to ever be hacked. There's also the fact that ChromeOs is inherently more secure than Windows by virtue of having a smaller user base. Why would a hacker bother targeting ChromeOs when they could just go after people using Windows? Say you're using something like a browser on a video game console. You probably have, by complete accident, the most secure browser out of anyone else.

I still have a lot to research on cyber security, until I get really into Kali Linux's official (paid) courses.

To answer your question it won't clear cookies while you're using it since it only clears it from the hard drive, more so only while in sleep/reboot. (Basically) never from RAM. If it's loaded into a program while you're using it, it's not going to just disappear mid-use.

yeah and i apologize for tolerating me, its becoming like everyday now again, i wake up every morning with the highest anxiety and depression and say to myself,''please no odd triggers today and for awhile.'' then bam something gets me frightful and then it intensifies all day until i get a relieving answer.

i wish i had the answer to get control, have tried many things. between medications and therapists and i'm treatment intolerant it seems.

this didn't happen in sleep mode it happened while it was open, and i came back. unless i'm missing something then please pardon me. xD although it had been awakened for maybe an hour or more after a night of sleep mode.

Your token/cookies expired/got cleaned up. They are designed to do that after a while. It's only an issue if it does it so often that it's inconvenient, otherwise it's not a security issue.

There's no real schedule to when your OS decides to do these things, but there are settings you can enable to have it do it less.

thank you so much. yeah, on my old chromebook it happened frequently, which was also an acer, i think 10 times in the year i used it.

so its ok to sign back in, in that box? nothing malicious? because there's no way to close it besides shutting down the chromebook with the button which i did, but i'd hate for it to pop up in the middle of something important and have to get out that way, like if i were watching something or in the middle of typing which happened on the old acer.
