OK, I see the corrupt system - but how does that mean cops are bastards? Calling a cop a bastard is describing a thing. Being part of a system that is corrupt is an action. So is their participation WITHIN the police system the reason they are bastards? But being a bastard doesn't mean that, being a bastard generally (from what I understand) means being a bad or undesirable person. Isn't the correct term bastardize - a verb? ACB? Wouldn't that make more sense? But even then, do all cops really "bastardize" the idea of the justice system simply by being a part of it? I know I'm arguing semantics, but the two words mean completely different things, and aren't even the same class of word. Should I go back to elementary school, or even worse (or better, depending on your perspective), kindergarten? I am confused. Please help.
