Not voting for someone solely because their race makes you "uncomfortable" IS racism.. I think you know there are a lot of white folks out there who are not necessarily racist who felt uncomfortable for the first time in their lives about whether or not they wanted to vote for an African-American, He sounds like he's clueless about race-related topics. Now I can kind of see why he isn't super popular with minority voters. |

| Real_Account 10/08/18 1:43:22 PM #1 | I admit that I used to get super defensive and take it personally when POC try to discuss white privilege. But looking back I was a dick because I now realize that when people of color talk about "white privilege" they don't mean every single individual white person, what they mean is institutionalized racism and that there's a social structure and system in place that benefits white over POC.. Vast majority of POC - in my experience at least - have NOTHING against white folks on an individual level. They're simply talking about the system and social structure. |
