Napoleon is one of my favorites! The campaign is awesome, just loses points for lack of re-playability.

About your problem, did you just follow the tutorial's instructions? I just quickly replayed the first tutorial and had no problems...you are right clicking the enemies? There's really no other aspect to that tutorial. Maybe making sure your units are facing the right way? Or maybe the steam version has some bugs I don't know about.

Anyone play the SC2 one, Storm of the Imperial Sanctum? I think I played it once and it seemed "okay." Or should I be ashamed even mentioning such a thing in such a sacred topic.

Hearts of Iron might be complicated, but once you have a basic idea you can actually learn everything really fast. You can automate 90% of the game to start with, and just un-automate one part at a time as you learn how to handle everything.

Though I've never played EU, it does intrigue me...

I'd love to play some sc2 with people, though I'm pretty terrible. Maybe people here can tell me what I constantly screw up on.

But I will contend that, at the very least, I've put more hours into Civ II and Civ III than anyone else here, and maybe Civ IV as well.

Other than that, maybe some lesser played games, like Stellar 7 or Hearts of Iron I and II.

Oh man, you must have been the one to recommend Vandermeer last time around. A bit late, but thanks a lot for that! I'd be interested in your other recommendations if you have any.

Unfortunately, I can't really recommend anything that fits your interests that you haven't probably heard of. I've recently gone through some Cormac McCarthy, which was pretty good, some essays by Zinn, which were great, and Michel Foucault's history of sexuality series in French. I'd recommend those if you were interested. They aren't cheap on Amazon though, sadly.

Out of the free Kindle books though, The Jungle Book, Treasure Island or a Tale of Two Cities are my next choices. I'm sure you've read them all already though. Or Maybe something by Fred Vargas...

Depends on what state you are in and when the divorce took place.

Some states, like wisconsin, have circuit court access from online, but getting actual legit copies requires you to contact the Wisconsin Vital Records department.

I'd search for (your state) vital records in google.

I really want to help with this, but unfortunately I'll only have 20 minutes from age-start before I leave for work, not to return for 12 hours.

So, I can do one of the footman armies, and try to join SFs intermittently using my phone. If you can't find anyone else with more time that is!

Libraries are awesome! It's nice to see people's honest opinions about them too. I'm in library school right now, so I rarely get to hear people talk them down.

Homeless people are a problem for Public Libraries. You can't tell them they aren't allowed in, you can't limit how long they stay and you can't even ask them not to use your bathrooms. That, and they look tend to look up porn on library computers much more often than anyone else, which doesn't help.

And although most "modern" academic libraries are built around the premise of group study and general interaction, with coffee shops, computers, large tables and open spaces, it's not all like that. I can't image that one couldn't find any quiet places for you to study. Rent one of the study rooms, rent one of the study corrals/cages, study in the archives/special collections, study in the basement stacks, ask someone at the circ desk for the quietest place.

And as said in this topic, you can borrow books, movies, video games, ebooks, audiobooks, software (rosetta stone, etc), and most importantly for academics, articles! Libraries are getting pretty creative with their lending too. Yale, for example, has a puppy they rent out, and others lend various tools and such.

I think these people are about a decade or two behind in slang, back when only black people would use the term bro. Before it was picked up by frat boy types.

That's my only problem with the HBO series, they spent so much money on background and costumes and casting that they can't seem to afford the battles. It's really sad, but unavoidable. It just takes so much away from Tyrion and Robb in some ways.

Other than that, I just finished book 4 yesterday, and it was awesome, though I feel like so much was held back for book 5.

3>>1>>2>4

And I agree about Theon. I don't know who my "favorite" characters are, but Theon and The Hound are some of the most intriguing for me.
